Acer makes an all-around hit over its portfolio. Thus, the Predator Triton and the Helios also get an upgrade. With the latest Intel processors and Nvidia GeForce graphics cards, they offer decent performance.
Triton 300 SE – 14-inch gaming notebook
Acer has unveiled its first 14-inch gaming notebook, the Predator Triton 300 SE comes in at a handy 35.56 cm. At the same time, the Full HD display has a very narrow bezel and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. With the latest Intel Core i7 H35 of the 11th generation in a special edition, which ensures a fast performance with up to 5 GHz and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU in Max-Q design, the notebook becomes ideal for gamers. The Triton weighs just 1.7 kg with an overall height of 17.9 mm so that it doesn’t become a burden on the leg when you’re on the go.
Thanks to the cooling system with the Predator AeroBlade fans of the 5th generation, the powerful components in the sleek aluminum case are always well cooled. The air intake on the Triton is maximized by the wingtips of the fan blades. The innovative venting specifically redirects airflow to critical components and minimizes turbulence during ventilation. To top it all off, Acer Vortex Flow supports the cooling unit with exhaust vents, strategically placed fans and heat pipes. An aerodynamic flow is created inside and the cooling of the CPU, GPU and the other components is thus optimized. As a result, the Predator Triton’s cooling system achieves up to 10 percent more performance than its predecessors. To control the fan speed, the Predator Triton 300 SE has a Turbo button on the one hand and the PredatorSense software on the other. Thus, it is possible to switch between the different modes in a flash in order to adapt the notebook to the conditions.
The Triton’s enduring battery lasts up to 10 hours. Thus, it can not only be used for gaming, but also in all other situations. Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 provides the necessary top speed for gaming. Of course, a gaming notebook should not be without ports, and here the Acer notebook has Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and HDMI. The keyboard of the notebook has a 3-zone RGB backlight, so the right feeling can come up while gaming. In addition, DTS:X Ultra Audio still ensures a balanced and crystal-clear sound.
Predator Helios 300 in 15.6 inches
Not only the Acer Predator Triton can enjoy a freshening up, but also the Helios. With the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory, it guarantees smooth gameplay. To ensure that the GPU’s performance comes across well, the Helios 300 has a 15.6-inch (39.6 cm) IPS display in Full HD with 240 Hz. 3D simulating surround sound and DTS:X Ultra Audio allow you to dive into the depths of the gaming action. The Predator Helios 300 is also cooled by the Predator Aeroblade 3D fans, which can be adjusted with the CoolBoost technology.
