AOC: two new curved gaming monitors of the G2 series on the way

The monitor experts at AOC have announced two new monitors. With the CQ32G2SE and the C32G2AE, the already established G2 series is growing. The gaming displays will be able to provide great immersion thanks to their curved design. In addition, the two monitors should have a reaction time of 1 ms and a refresh rate of 165 Hz on board. All this is rounded off by AMD FreeSync Premium.

Powerful Specs

With these two new additions, AOC brings customized curved monitors for gamers. The CQ32G2SE provides a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. This gives the monitor a pixel density of 94 ppi (pixels per inch). Also in terms of brightness the display can shine with 250 cd/m². In addition, the CQ32G2SE offers a contrast of 3000:1 and a viewing angle of 178/178°. Thanks to a coverage of the sRGB color space of 121 percent, the gaming monitor should also be able to convince with color details.

Features of the AOC C32G2AE should be somewhat less. However, the Full HD resolution (1080p) is one of the few differences between the two new devices in the G2 series. The slightly lower resolution version also offers a contrast of 3000:1 and a brightness of 250 cd/m². The sRGB color space coverage is even slightly better at 123 percent. In addition, the C32G2AE scores with a three-sided frameless design and can be installed in a variety of ways thanks to the VESA mounting option.

Uncomplicated installation

AOC emphasizes that the two new monitors are easy to install. According to the manufacturer, no tools are needed to set them up. The CQ32G2SE and C32G2AE offer a stand that scores with integrated cable management.

But this should not be the only feature of the pedestal. In addition, you can tilt it between -3.5 and 21.5°, depending on your needs. Thanks to built-in stereo speakers with 5 watts of power each, you don’t necessarily need separate speakers. Both monitors offer two HDMI connections and one DisplayPort each for the user.

Suitable for many genres

If one can believe the statements of AOC, the two monitors are supposed to be suitable for almost all gaming genres. But not only shooters, MMORPGs, action games and co. should be well reproduced by casual gamers. Thus the manufacturer states that the C32G2AE should also be able to be used for eSports games. Also flicker-free technology and LowBlue mode should ensure that you can look at the monitor for several hours without eye pain.

Prices and availability

The two new additions should be available in December. For the C32G2AE a UVP of scarcely 230 euro results. The somewhat more efficient CQ32G2SE offers however with a UVP of 425 euro.
