be quiet! Introduces limited Dark Base 700 White Edition

be quiet! introduces the Dark Base 700 White Edition, an exclusive edition of the coveted premium case Dark Base 700. 3,000 of the White Edition in a striking white color and with a clear side window are offered worldwide.

Elegant design for the Limited Edition

Since its market launch in 2017, the Dark Base 700 has received much praise from the press and buyers as one of the first PC cases with a front connector for USB 3.1 Gen 2. The model still inspires today and can hold its own very well in the fiercely contested market. As the name suggests, the Dark Base 700 White Edition is coated with elegant white paint. In order to better accentuate the bright interior of the case, the light brown tinted tempered glass side window was replaced by a clear, transparent pane. An aluminium plaque with consecutive number underlines the collector character of the Dark Base 700 White Edition as well as the limited availability of only 3,000 pieces worldwide. Thanks to an adhesive surface on the back, the badge can be attached as desired or removed completely.

Unbeatable flexibility and maximum modularity

The flexible, modular design of the housing features individual, freely positionable HDD slots and an invertible mainboard tray. This allows a free choice in the placement of the PC on or under the desk. Unused hard disk openings are covered with white covers for cable feedthroughs to easily hide installed cables. These covers are height-adjustable and the openings can be completely closed, which favours the presentation of a tidy housing interior. The back of the mainboard tray offers space for up to three SSDs. Two of the total of three available HDD slots can be positioned under the modular PSU cover. The top of the power supply cover is divided into four separately removable sections. The air flow is extended by the PSU-Shroud area or the installation of a longer front radiator is possible. The closed state promotes proper cable management. The top of the PSU cover and the bottom of the case also offer space for an additional fan to improve the airflow. An optional mounting location allows vertical installation of a graphics card for show purposes (riser cable not included).

Reliable, virtually inaudible cooling

Two pre-installed Silent Wings 3 fans with a diameter of 140 millimetres, which are almost inaudible during operation, ensure uncompromising cooling performance. Due to the unique design of the rotor blades, the rubberized fan frame and the funnel-shaped air inlet, the fans operate almost silently. At the same time, the 6-pole motor with FDB bearing reduces power consumption and noise-generating vibrations. Users of water cooling systems benefit from extensive support for radiators up to 360 millimetres in length and a possible push-pull structure in the front, as well as an innovative holding frame on the top that can be pushed out sideways for the installation of a radiator.
L-shaped, noise-reducing ventilation openings in the front and top prevent the air flow from escaping in a straight line and thus audibly. The Dark Base 700 White Edition also uses insulating mats made of different materials that absorb different frequencies. All mounting locations for power supply units, drives and side windows are decoupled to prevent vibration-induced noise. Up to six PWM fans can be connected to the integrated fan controller and can be controlled in three manual and one automatic PWM hub modes. The manual modes support two channels for setting up separate cooling zones.

A technical masterpiece

High-quality materials and special attention to adjust the white tones on different surface materials so that they appear uniform, make the Dark Base 700 White Edition a noble case in the midi tower segment. The sturdy construction of 1.2 millimetre thick aluminium and steel underlines the extraordinary elegance. The premium look is further enhanced by a tempered glass side window and RGB LED lighting recessed into the front. An integrated controller offers a choice of six LED colours and three lighting modes. With a compatible connector on the motherboard, users can choose from the full RGB color space. The front connectors of the Dark Base 700 White Edition feature state-of-the-art technology with USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type C, two USB 3.0 ports, two HD audio slots and controls for the fans and RGB LEDs.

The Dark Base 700 White Edition will be available in stores from 19 February 2019 at a recommended retail price of 189 euros.
