The EM-Smart Dual series at a glance
With the Dual series, EM-Smart is setting new standards in laser engraving and cutting. The series consists of two models: Dual 2 and Dual SE. Both devices combine two laser sources in one system, opening up an enormous range of materials from wood, acrylic and leather to glass and metals.
In total, they support more than 300 materials. The top-of-the-range Dual 2 model is the world’s first laser engraver to combine a 30 W MOPA fiber laser and a 20 W diode laser. MOPA technology enables colored markings on metal – a feature that was previously reserved for much more expensive industrial systems.
At the same time, the diode laser ensures fast, deep cutting of non-metallic materials such as wood or acrylic. This makes the Dual 2 the perfect hybrid for creatives, start-ups and maker spaces looking for maximum flexibility.
The Dual SE is the more cost-efficient alternative and combines a 20 W fiber laser with a 20 W diode laser. It offers almost the same variety of materials, but at a lower entry-level price. Particularly exciting: despite its lower price, the Dual SE also achieves extremely high engraving speeds and is suitable for professional results on a lower budget.
Both models have features that are normally only found in significantly more expensive systems:
- Precision of ±0.001 mm, ideal for fine engraving and series production
- Motorized focus control – no manual readjustment necessary
- Compatible with LightBurn & EZCAD
- Class 1 laser thanks to combination of safety goggles, protective shield and enclosed safety housing, including protection against laser reflection and smoke extraction (NRTL testing agency)
Laser performance on a new level
While many desktop laser devices fail due to speed or precision, the Dual series combines both aspects in one system. With speeds of up to 15,000 mm/s, Dual 2 and Dual SE are among the fastest machines in their class. This speed is particularly important in professional applications such as e-commerce production, personalization and series production.
The combination of two laser sources also enables real quality optimization:
- The fiber laser delivers ultra-fine engravings on metal.
- The diode laser ensures fast cutting performance and clear deep engravings.
Thanks to the electric focus control, the laser is automatically optimally aligned – regardless of the material or height of the workpiece. This saves time and reduces operating errors. Even more impressive is the repeat accuracy of ±0.001 mm.
