UGREEN: Discounts for USB hub and mobile SSD adapter

The Chinese company UGREEN has started a discount campaign and offers two of its popular products at a steep discount. These are a 6-in-1 USB-C hub and an SSD adapter that can be used for M.2 SSDs in a portable way.

UGREEN 6-in-1-USB-C-Hub

The now-reduced USB-C hub is a device that is compatible with both MacBooks and Microsoft’s Surface. Furthermore, it can be used with an iMac, the MacMini, the iPad Pro and the Galaxy Tab S8. Among other things, it is equipped with an HDMI port that can transfer 4K content. For example, it is possible to transfer movies to a larger screen via the USB hub. The other equipment includes three USB 3.0 ports. These allow connecting multiple USB devices to a laptop at the same time. As examples, UGREEN cites the simultaneous connection of a keyboard, external hard drive and printer via the hub. Even devices that only have one USB port can be used to maximum efficiency.

But that’s not all. The 6-in-1 USB-C hub is also equipped with an SD slot as well as a TF slot. This means that several memory cards can be connected to a MacBook or a Surface laptop at the same time. Speeds of up to 104 MB per second are achieved, which makes transferring even large amounts of data convenient.

With all that said, the USB hub is very easy to use: It works according to the plug-and-play principle. Installations are not necessary. UGREEN also points out the noble design of the device. It is made of aluminum and thus fits seamlessly into Apple’s aesthetics. During the discount campaign that has now started, the 6-in-1 USB-C hub is available for only 26.59 euros. Normally, it costs 37.99 euros.

Also significantly discounted is an SSD enclosure that is compatible with all M.2 SSDs. This device makes it possible to use a single SSD with many different devices without having to give up the speed advantages of a permanently installed SSD. Thanks to USB 3.2 Gen2 connectivity and UASP protocol support, transfer speeds of up to ten Gb per second are achieved. Thus, even huge amounts of data are transferred in the shortest possible time.

The working principle of the SSD case or adapter is simple here: it is opened with the push of a button, the SSD is securely placed in it via the mounting screw, the case is closed and the SSD can be used with any device via USB connection from then on. In all of this, UGREEN places great emphasis on safety. An aluminum shell and an integrated silicone pad ensure that the SSD’s optimal working temperature is always maintained, while a silicone layer on the outside has a shock-absorbing effect and thus significantly reduces the risk of mechanical damage.
