Wiko introduced two new entry-level smartphones at IFA 2020. They are named VIEW5 and VIEW5 Plus and introduce the successors of the VIEW4 series introduced earlier this year.
Already the VIEW4 could inspire with a battery life of three days for under 200 Euro. The VIEW5 surpasses this with 3.5 days with a 5,000 mAh battery. This is also the case with the VIEW5 Plus, because unlike many other manufacturers, the Plus does not stand for a larger display and thus a larger smartphone with partly larger battery, but only for the memory equipment. The VIEW5 Plus has 3 GB RAM and 64 GB memory, while the VIEW5 Plus has 4 GB RAM and 128 GB memory.
Both models are equipped with a quadruple camera, which is supposed to provide better images through AI and supports functions such as beauty or night mode, slow motion and super wide angle. The four lenses offer 48, 8, 5 and 2 megapixels.
The VIEW5 series is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor from MediaTek. The display is 6.55 inches in size and has a resolution of HD+ (720 x 1,600 pixels). The latest Android 10 is used as the operating system and features such as Face-ID unlocking and dual SIM are offered.
The VIEW5 comes in the colors Midnight Blue, Pine Green and Peach Gold for 169.99 Euro RRP. The VIEW 5 Plus on the other hand comes in Aurora Blue and Iceland Silver for 199.99 Euro. Both smartphones will be available from September 10.
