Former Amazon CEO and founder Jeff Bezos plans to fly into space in July with his brother Mark Bezos.
Multi-million expensive trip
Jeff Bezos is a multi-billionaire and one of the richest people in the world. Now he plans to fly into space with his brother Mark Bezos on July 20 with several space tourists. In the first manned flight with Jeff Bezos’ space company, Blue Origin, the two brothers and several space tourists will be carried in a space capsule by a New Shepard launch vehicle for four minutes into space above the so-called Karman Line at an altitude of 100 kilometers.
In the process, the four other space tourists will have to pay dearly for the trip into space. Bids for the four remaining seats are still being accepted until July 12. Currently, these amount to more than 3.5 million US dollars. The highest bidders will then be allowed to go into space.
The planned schedule for the manned space flight of the New Shepard on July 20 has already been completely planned and published. For the future Jeff Bezos plans also to make a space visit possible for ordinary tourists.
“A big deal”
Jeff Bezos invited his brother on the trip, for this he published a video on Instagram and also calls him his best friend. Jeff Bezos says about the planned flight, ” I want to do this flight because it’s what I’ve wanted to do my whole life. It’s an adventure. It’s a big deal for me.”
