MEDION brings notebooks for homeschooling and home office to ALDI

The cooperation between MEDION and Aldi is already bearing much fruit at the beginning of the year. At the end of January, there will be a gaming notebook and two gaming PCs from MEDION on Aldi’s store shelves. But that’s not all. With the AKOYA E11202, AKOYA E15408 and AKOYA E66017, two notebooks and a desktop PC tailored for distance learning for students or home offices for employees will also be launched.

MEDION Akoya E11202: The affordable student notebook

We start with a notebook that is perfect for students, especially due to its low price. This is the MEDION Akoya E11202. It is a bit weak on the chest, but you should not expect high-end technology at a retail price of just under 200 Euros. We already know the device from November last year. Due to the growing demand for inexpensive notebooks, Aldi is probably now bringing it back into the range. The Akoya E11202 measures 305 mm x 240 mm x 20.1 mm and offers an 11.6 inch display. Due to the price, you have to make concessions in terms of screen quality for the time being.

MEDION uses a cheap TN panel with a resolution of just 1,366 x 768 pixels. Inside, there is an almost antique Celeron N3450 processor, which is supported by 4 GB of RAM. On top of that, there is a 64 GB flash memory, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2. The plastic casing is supposed to be made of resistant materials. According to Medion, falls from a height of up to one meter are no problem for the inexpensive notebook. This should be an advantage especially for younger students. Despite the small size, the Akoya E11202 has enough ports. Besides the pleasingly up-to-date USB-C, the mini-notebook also offers classic USB-A, AUX and HDMI. The microSD card reader is also pleasing. According to Medion, the battery of the notebook has almost 30 watt hours, which should enable a battery runtime of up to eight hours. The inexpensive companion for homeschooling will be available at Aldi from January 28 at a price of 199 euros.

MEDION Akoya E15408: Perfect for the home office without a desk

With the 15.6-inch Akoya E15408, MEDION also launches a notebook that is ideal for the home office. Especially compared to the just presented mini-notebook, this one can offer a lot more. For example, it has a much stronger processor with the Intel Core i5-1035G4. It is supported by 8 GB of RAM. On top of that, MEDION provides the notebook with a 256 GB PCIe-SSD, which should offer high speeds thanks to NVMe support.

If that’s not enough, you can practically plug in another SSD in the second available M.2 slot. The display is also much more powerful. It resolves with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (Full HD) and relies on the viewing-angle-stable IPS technology. The overall package is rounded off by a practical backlight for the keyboard. Especially all those who have currently converted their dining table into a desk could get a suitable device with the notebook. Those who are interested in the home office notebook can strike at Aldi from January 28 at a price of 499 euros.

MEDION Akoya E66017

Aldi offers the most performance for the home office at the end of January with the desktop PC Akoya E66017. MEDION installs a Core i5-10400F with six cores. It is supported by 8 GB of RAM. A dedicated Geforce GT 1030 is supposed to provide the corresponding graphics performance.

In terms of storage, the fancy desktop PC offers a 512 GB PCIe SSD, which is also supposed to be very fast thanks to NVMe protocol. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 round off the desktop PC’s positive image. If a suitable desk with a monitor is also available in the home office, the Akoya E66017 is definitely worth a look. The desktop PC will also be available in Aldi Nord stores on January 28. The price is supposed to be 569 Euros.
