Among several other products, MSI recently presented two new gaming laptops from the Crosshair series: With the Crosshair 15 and the Crosshair 17, gamers get two devices equipped with eleventh-generation Intel processors.
The basic equipment of the Crosshair laptops
The two new laptops differ significantly only in their display size, which is once 15 and once 17 inches. The display is a Full HD model with a 144 Hz panel in each case. Both laptops are also equipped with a USB-C port, two USB-A ports, an HDMI output, an audio jack and a LAN port. A 53 Wh battery is also used in both devices.
Different equipment variants
Both models are available in different features, which differ from each other in terms of price and performance. Thus, those interested have the option of choosing the Core i7-11800H processor for both models; the Crosshair 17 also offers a Core i5-11400H, which can only be combined with a GeForce RTX 3050 and eight GB of RAM – this option is not available for the Crosshair 15. Both devices can use a RTX 3050 Ti or a RTX 3060 as the graphics card besides the RTX 3050. RAM configurations are available with up to 16 GB. In terms of internal storage, the choices are more limited: a 512 GB NVME SSD must be selected for the Crosshair 15; a 1 TB SSD is also available for the Crosshair 17.
Prices and availability
It is not yet known when the devices will be available in this country. Euro prices have also not yet been published. In the US, the Crosshair 17 should be available starting at $899 and cost $1,599 in best configuration.
