With the two new models Pulse GL66 and Pulse GL76, MSI has introduced two new gaming notebooks that are supposed to meet the highest demands.
Proximity to the Crosshair series
In addition to the two Pulse notebooks, MSI has introduced numerous others, including new devices from the Crosshair series. The many similarities between the new models of this series and the two new Pulse notebooks are striking. For example, the Pulse GL66 and GL76 also use the i7-11800H and i5-11400H processors, respectively, which are each supported by up to 16 GB of RAM. The screen is also very similar to that of the new Crosshair devices: it measures 15.6 inches diagonally and features a refresh rate of 144 Hz with a response time of three milliseconds.
In terms of connectivity as well as battery, the devices are also similar to those of the Crosshair series: they feature a USB-C port, two USB-A ports, an HDMI output, an audio jack, a LAN port and a 53 Wh battery.
High-End Graphics Card and Design
What sets the two Pulse notebooks apart is their design and high-end graphics cards. They can optionally be equipped with a GeForce RTX 3070, have an RGB keyboard and a striking design that relies on noticeable and visible edges. In addition to the internal SSD storage of 512 GB, a one TB HDD can also be installed.
Price and availability
It is not yet known when the new devices will hit the European market. Also the euro prices are not yet fixed. In the US, prices start at $949 for the Pulse GL66 in the basic configuration and range up to $1,799 for the version with i7 processor and GeForce RTX 3070.
