With the Acer Aspire S27, the manufacturer has introduced a new all-in-one PC with premium equipment. It relies on 12th-generation Intel Core processors, comes with up to 32 GB of RAM, and relies on the biometric facial recognition software Acer EyeSense.
The Acer Aspire S27 in detail
With a screen-to-body ratio of 98.1 percent and a slim design, the new Acer Aspire S27 AiO PC wants to score. It relies on a case made of high-quality aluminum and an almost bezel-less 68.6 cm (27-inch) IPS display with WQHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440), which can be tilted between -5° to 25°.
Thanks to 12th generation Intel Core processors, Iris Xe Graphics graphics card and up to 32 gigabytes of dual channel DDR4 memory, the all-in-one PC is up to even the most demanding tasks. Added to this are modern Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.0.
Accessories such as two different webcams with either 2 mega pixels (1080p) and privacy shutter or 5 mega pixels (1440p) and integrated ring light, as well as a display light bar for better illumination can easily be magnetically attached to the case for a secure fit.
Acer EyeSense biometric face recognition
The Acer Aspire S27 relies on dual stereo speakers with DTS Audio for rich sound. Furthermore, the workstation can be conveniently expanded by another display via the HDMI output on the back. There is also a USB-C port (3.2 Gen 2) and two USB-A ports (1x 3.2 Gen 2 + 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1).
The new face recognition software Acer EyeSense is supposed to provide additional security. For example, it allows creating an avatar if you do not want to show your own face in a video conference.
In addition, the software detects when you move away from the PC and thus automatically turns off the microphone and webcam. Which should provide additional security and save power at the same time.
Price and availability
The new all-in-one PC Acer Aspire S27 (S27-1755) is expected to be available in February 2023. The manufacturer’s recommended retail price starts at 1,199 euros.
