Acer Copilot+ PCs: Swift Spin 14 AI brings convertible power with Snapdragon X2 Elite
With the Acer Swift Spin 14 AI, Acer is expanding its premium notebook series with a flexible convertible model that is clearly geared towards the current trend towards locally accelerated AI applications. The device combines a 360-degree hinge with the latest Snapdragon technology and is aimed at mobile creative and productivity applications.
It is powered by either a Snapdragon X2 Elite or Snapdragon X2 Plus, combined with the Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, which, according to the manufacturer, delivers up to 80 TOPS of AI computing power. These performance values are plausible for Copilot+ PCs and meet the current requirements for local AI functions under Windows 11.
The 14-inch WUXGA touch display in 16:10 format supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz and can be operated with the Acer Active Stylus. Support for the Wacom AES 2.0 standard with 4,096 pressure levels makes the device particularly interesting for note-taking, illustration and precise input.
The focus is also on mobility: With a weight from 1.34 kilograms and a maximum height of 16.5 millimeters, the convertible remains portable. The specified battery life of up to 16.5 hours of web usage seems realistic for an ARM-based system and is one of the key advantages of the Snapdragon platform.
The equipment with USB4 Type-C, HDMI 2.1, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 underlines the premium positioning.
Snapdragon platforms make the Aspire Go 15 an efficient entry-level solution
In addition to the high-end convertible, Acer is also expanding its range in the entry-level segment. The new Aspire Go 15 is the manufacturer’s first notebook with a Snapdragon C processor and is aimed at users who value energy efficiency, quiet operation and solid everyday performance.
The 15.6-inch notebook offers a Full HD display, up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage space. This puts the device in a solid position for typical office tasks, streaming, web applications and light multitasking.
The integration of a dedicated co-pilot button, which enables quick access to AI functions under Windows 11, is noteworthy. This is complemented by Acer’s software solutions such as AcerSense and Acer My Key, which simplify system management.
Acer is also setting the tone in terms of sustainability: The device comes in fully recyclable packaging and uses partially recycled plastics in the casing and power supply unit.
With Wi-Fi 6E, several USB-C ports and HDMI, the connectivity remains up to date. The combination of ARM efficiency and features suitable for everyday use makes the Aspire Go 15 a plausible step towards establishing Snapdragon notebooks more firmly in the mainstream.
