Acer: New projectors for private and business customers presented

As part of its presentation of upcoming products, manufacturer Acer has also introduced a number of new projectors. Both private users and professionals should find what they are looking for.

Acer XL series

Acer XL Series

In order to make the clientele of private users happy, Acer has launched its XL series. This is a laser projector that should be able to reach 3,100 ANSI lumens. What makes the XL series so interesting for private customers is the low maintenance. In addition, the devices offer protection against the penetration of harmful dust particles according to an IP6X certification by Acer. Also in things energy efficiency and staying power the XL series is to be able to convince private users. The projectors’ light source should be able to last for up to 30,000 hours. The XL series offers projectors that have a resolution of Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels).

Acer PD1530i and PD1330W

Acer PD Series

Unlike the XL series, the PD1530i and PD1330W projectors are clearly aimed at business customers. A glance at the specifications reveals that they essentially correspond to those of the XL series. For example, the two “business projectors” also offer a light duration of 30,000 hours and with 3,000 instead of 3,100 ANSI lumens only slightly less brightness.

Acer UL5630

The UL5630 is also aimed at business users and aims to score points above all with practicality. The projector should be able to be used optimally even at a very small distance from the screen. This makes the projector the perfect solution when a fixed installation on the ceiling is not possible or not desired. It is precisely this flexibility that makes the UL5630 a very exciting device. It can be carried comfortably from room to room and, at least on paper, has astonishing features. For example, it should be possible to project a 120 inch image onto the screen at a distance of just 31 cm. The brightness is correspondingly high. The UL5630 should be able to achieve a maximum of 4,500 lumens. Acer specifies a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels.

Acer PL7610T

Last but not least, Acer has also presented a beamer for demanding users. With the PL7610T, the manufacturer wants to launch a laser diode projector that can reach a proud 6,000 ANSI lumens. Acer also states a contrast ratio of an impressive 2,000,000:1. But the image should also be convincing with vivid colors. According to Acer, this is ensured by the particularly wide color space.

Prices and availability

The new XL series should be available in German retail outlets from the first quarter of 2021. Acer specifies thereby a UVP starting from 999 euro. Altogether three models are to come with the XL1220, XL1320 and XL1520. The PD1330W, on the other hand, is to be launched this year. More exactly said starting from December Acer would like to sell it to a UVP for 1.199 euro. At the same time, the PD1530i will enter the projector market for a surcharge of 200 Euro. The Acer UL5630 is supposed to enter the market a bit earlier. Already in November Acer wants to release it for a UVP of 1.999 Euro. However, we still have to wait a bit for the flagship, the PL7610T. This is to be available from the first quarter of 2021 for a RRP of 2,499 Euro.
