Acer Predator Orion 5000 and 3000: New editions available

The two gaming desktops Acer Predator Orion 5000 and 3000 dare to jump into the model generation 2022. New in both computers are the latest Intel Core i7 processors of the 12th generation (Intel H670 chipset).

However, there are differences in the other equipment. For example, the Predator Orion 5000 relies on a maximum Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, which is supported by up to 64 GB DDR5 RAM with 4000 MHz and up to 2 TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD storage. Thus, you should be well prepared for even the most demanding games.

The Predator FrostBlade 2.0 fans, which are equipped with ARGB lighting, also provide effective cooling and want to convince with an optimized airflow. The new sealed ball bearing and the curved design of the fan blades also reduce any vibrations and noise.

The Orion 5000 comes in an obsidian-colored case made of blackened glass and metal mesh. A transparent side panel also allows the user to see inside the computer and showcases the integrated ARGB lighting of the individual components.

The side panel itself is made of EMI compliant glass to protect you and your peripherals from potential electromagnetic interference. The case also opens easily for quick and easy hardware upgrades.

Rounding out the features is a Killer E3100G 2.5G Ethernet controller and Intel Wi-Fi 6E, as well as DTS:X Ultra Sound, which turns all connected headphones and speakers into a 360-degree sound system. Four USB ports (3 x Type-A and 1 x Type-C) and audio ports are installed on the top of the PC for easy access, while more ports are available on the back.

Acer Predator Orion 3000 with RTX 3070

You have to accept minimal compromises with the Acer Predator Orion 3000, but they result in a significantly lower price. The same Core i7 CPU is used here, but it can only be combined with a GeForce RTX 3070 GPU.

The up to 64 GB DDR4 RAM reaches a maximum speed of 3200 MHz, and 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD storage rounds off the configuration. Additionally, up to 6 TB of SATA3 HDD storage is also possible.

Visually, the Predator Orion 3000 series resembles its big brother: blackened glass, plastic, metal and mesh clad the PC’s high-performance interior, while a transparent EMI-compliant side panel reveals the view. Three Predator FrostBlade 2.0 fans optimize airflow and cool components.

In addition, the front and rear fans are directly equipped with RGB LEDs whose lighting can be controlled and customized via PredatorSense software. The 3000 also features an Intel Killer E2600 Ethernet controller, Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 (Gig+), and DTS:X Ultra.
