Acer TravelMate P6 14: 1.1 kg light premium notebook with OLED display

The manufacturer presented numerous innovations at the next@acer event. Among them, for example, the Predator Triton 17 X gaming notebook or the Creator laptop Acer Swift X 16. With the Acer TravelMate P6 14, you can expect a particularly lightweight notebook that is intended for mobile use and still comes with powerful technology.

The Acer TravelMate P6 14 in detail

In the summer of 2022, Acer expanded the TravelMate business laptop lineup with numerous models. Now, another exciting notebook is added with the Acer TravelMate P6 14. Among other things, an Intel Core i7 processor of the 13th generation is on board, which is supported by up to 32 GB LPDDR5 working memory.

Of course, there is no dedicated graphics card in the slim and particularly light design. After all, the P6 14 with its 14-inch OLED display should only weigh around 1.1 kilograms.

The display has a fairly high resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels and is supposed to cover the DCI-P3 color space by 100%, which should also make the device suitable for creative professionals. It also has a special feature on board: Thanks to the PrivacyPanel, it should be almost impossible for strangers to catch a glimpse of the screen when you are on the go – for example in a bus, train or plane.

Whether the whole thing works better than the SureView counterpart from the manufacturer HP remains to be seen. For example, we were not really convinced by it in our test of HP’s EliteBook 845 G9.

The equipment of the Acer TravelMate P6 14 is rounded off by a Full HD webcam including IR camera, fast WiFi 6E and 5G, and speakers that want to deliver a convincing sound thanks to DTS Audio.

Price and Availability

The Acer TravelMate P6 14 notebook is expected to make its way to retailers in June 2023 and will start from a recommended retail price of 1,399 euros.
