The AGM X7 Pro is AGM’s new flagship outdoor smartphone: a rugged 5G smartphone with a built-in thermal imaging camera, a 10,000-mAh battery, and wireless charging. AGM unveiled the model at IFA 2026 in Berlin, and pre-orders will begin on the first day of the trade show. For those who don’t need the thermal imaging camera, the AGM X7 offers the same hardware at a lower price.

In a nutshell:

  • Thermal imaging camera with 512 × 384 pixels, 25 fps, and a measurement range from -20 °C to 550 °C
  • MediaTek Dimensity 7300, 6 GB RAM (+6 GB virtual) and 256 GB storage
  • 10,000-mAh battery with 33 W wired and 15 W wireless charging
  • IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H, plus eSIM, NFC, and Widevine L1
  • MSRP: 599 euros; pre-orders with a launch offer are now available in our shop

Who the AGM X7 Pro Is For

With the X7 Pro, AGM is clearly targeting tradespeople and outdoor enthusiasts: electricians looking to detect overloaded wires, plumbers searching for leaks behind walls, or campers who want to know at night if an animal is sneaking around their tent. The thermal imaging camera isn’t just a gimmick—it’s the key selling point. Everything else about the device is solid, just as you’d expect from a rugged phone in this price range.

The thermal imaging camera: 512 × 384 pixels and up to 550 °C

The built-in thermal imaging camera has a resolution of 512 × 384 pixels and delivers 25 frames per second with a wide field of view. The measurement range extends from -20 °C to 550 °C, allowing you to detect both slight temperature differences in insulation and hot engines or brake rotors. By comparison, many standalone entry-level thermal imaging cameras have significantly lower resolution. The advantage of the X7 Pro: The camera is built right into the smartphone, eliminating the need for an additional device.

AGM X7 Pro

The standard version, the AGM X7 (without “Pro”), shares the same housing, display, and other technical components with the X7 Pro, but does not include the thermal imaging camera at all; as a result, the price is noticeably lower.

Technical Specifications: Dimensity 7300, 120 Hz display, and 10,000 mAh

Under the hood, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 (four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.5 GHz, four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz) works in tandem with a Mali-G615-MC2 GPU. It also features 6 GB of RAM, which can be expanded to 12 GB via virtual memory, as well as 256 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 1 TB via a microSD card. The 6.72-inch FHD+ display runs at 120 Hz and is said to reach up to 650 nits of brightness, which should keep it readable outdoors in direct sunlight.

AGM has equipped the device with a 10,000 mAh battery. According to the manufacturer, this should be enough for several days of use without needing to plug in, even with intensive use of the thermal imaging camera. Charging is possible at up to 33 watts via cable or 15 watts wirelessly, which is a decent speed for a battery of this size. For on-the-go use, there’s also a 5-watt speaker with a volume of up to 116 dB.

AGM has set a suggested retail price of 599 euros for the X7 Pro; the AGM X7 without a thermal imaging camera is priced lower. Those who order first will secure the best price before regular shipments begin.

Conclusion

With the AGM X7 Pro, AGM is launching a thermal imaging smartphone that looks promising on paper: a solid chipset, a large battery, wireless charging, and a measurement range that’s said to be suitable even for professional applications such as inspecting electrical installations. Whether the thermal imaging camera performs as impressively in practice as the spec sheets promise remains to be seen in testing. However, anyone looking for a rugged outdoor phone anyway and who could use the additional feature should take a closer look at pre-ordering the AGM X7 Pro.
