AGON Pro AG324UX and AG274FZ: New Esports monitors unveiled

AOC has unveiled two new gaming monitors in its AGON Pro series, which feature a high refresh rate and low response time and are also aimed at professional esports enthusiasts.

4K resolution at 144 Hz

The top model goes by the name AGON Pro AG324UX and has mighty power under the hood. Here, manufacturer AOC relies on a 31.5-inch IPS panel and a GtG response time of 1 ms with a 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a frame rate of 144 Hz including HDR400 certification.

It relies on a 3-sided bezel-less design as well as an HDMI 2.1 port, which also allows it to achieve 4K at 120 FPS on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The monitor is also compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync. Furthermore, the AG324UX offers a color palette of 1.07 billion colors and supports a range of 99.8% of the DCI-P3 color space.

Also installed are two 8-W stereo speakers with DTS enhancement and a USB-C port with 90 watts of power. A 4-port USB 3.2 hub including an integrated KVM switch is also available to connect various peripherals directly to the monitor. Of course, ARGB lighting with various modes and effects should not be missing.

The display of the AOC AGON Pro AG324UX can be adjusted in height, rotated, swiveled and tilted in order to be optimally adapted to the individual position. A pivot function with the option to rotate the display by 90 degrees is also on board.

Full HD at 260 Hz

The AGON Pro AG274FZ relies largely on the same connections and options, but comes with a 27-inch (68.6 cm) IPS panel in Full HD resolution. In return, the monitor achieves a frame rate of a rich 240 Hz, which is achieved via DisplayPort 1.4. It can be overclocked to 260 Hz.

Due to the smaller size, however, there is only room for two 5 W speakers including DTS sound in the case. There are no differences in terms of ports, though the smaller monitor supports Adaptive Sync to minimize tearing. The sRGB range is covered with 110.5%.

Prices and Availability

The AGON Pro AG324UX and the AGON Pro AG274FZ Esports monitor are available in stores now. The MSRP for the 27-inch AG274FZ is 488.99 euros, while the AG324UX is priced at 1,139.99 euros.
