AiO cooling – Thermaltake Toughliquid Ultra and Toughliquid ARGB Sync

Thermaltake is adding two new series to its lineup of AiO cooling solutions. The manufacturer of cooling solutions, cases and power supplies introduces the Thermaltake Toughliquid Ultra and Toughliquid ARGB Sync. Here, the AiO coolers are equipped with ARGB lighting or a display on the pump lid.

New Toughfan 12 fans

Thermaltake’s two new AiO coolers now use the new Toughfan-12 fans. These fans were developed by the manufacturer as robust high-speed fans. The maximum speed of these fans is 2,500 rpm. The fans do not have an illumination. For this, Thermaltake additionally uses revised radiators, which have a larger cooling surface. The Thermaltake Toughliquid Ultra comes out with a 2.1-inch display, making it possible to monitor the components, display GIFs and show effects. The new TT RGB Plus 2.0 software is used to set up the cooling. The Ultra series will initially have models with a 240mm or 360mm radiator. If you prefer an illuminated pump cover instead of a display, the Thermaltake Toughliquid ARGB Sync is a good choice. Instead of the display, six addressable RGB LEDs are used here. These illuminate the Thermaltake logo. The cover can be rotated 360 degrees and thus always ensures a clean alignment. The 5V+-A RGB connector ensures synchronization with a suitable motherboard. With the Thermaltake Toughliquid ARGB Sync series, radiators of 240 mm, over 280 mm and 360 mm are available for selection. Depending on the model, two or three fans provide air exchange for the coolers. Toughfan 12 is also used for the models with 120 mm fans, but here the maximum speed has been limited to 2,000 rpm.

Availability and pricing

Thermaltake’s new AiO coolers are scheduled to hit the North American market later this year. In this regard, the Toughliquid Ultra is said to be priced at $209.99 for the model with a 240mm radiator and the model with a 360mm radiator will be priced at $239.99. The Toughliquid ARGB Sync is expected to cost $119.99 (240 mm), $129.99 (280 mm) and $149.99 (360 mm), respectively. It is not yet known when the coolers will be released in Germany.
