It’s official. Due to a lack of market success, production of the Microsoft Surface Studio 2+ (€ 5,216.00 *) is being discontinued, as reported by Windows Central, among others. The all-in-one PC was introduced in 2022 as an update to the original Surface Studio. With its striking 28-inch touchscreen in 3:2 format and innovative zero-gravity hinge, it primarily appealed to creative professions such as designers and architects.

But even at market launch, the equipment was no longer up to date. The 11th generation Intel Core i7-11370H processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 laptop GPU were not enough to keep up with more powerful competitor products. Another point of criticism was the high starting price of over 4,000 US dollars.

This deterred not only private users, but also many potential business customers. At the same time, the device suffered from limited upgrade options, which is a key factor in the professional target group.
