Amazon “Buy with Prime” allows shipping benefits at other stores

Amazon Prime members appreciate, among other advantages, the extremely fast Prime shipping of the store, which hardly any competitor can hold a candle to. Now, with “Buy with Prime,” a new program has been introduced that opens up the advantages of Prime shipping to other online stores as well.

Amazon Buy with Prime launches

Amazon Prime benefits such as fast and free shipping, free returns and a fast, straightforward ordering process will no longer be limited to Amazon alone in the future. As the shipping giant announced today you will also be able to benefit from the advantages when ordering from other online stores in the future thanks to the new “Buy with Prime” program.

The entire logistics will be handled via the already familiar Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) program, which allows retailers and sellers to store their products in the online department store’s shipping warehouses and take advantage of Prime benefits. Of course, Amazon charges a fee for handling.

Roll-out in 2022

Buy with Prime will initially be available to other merchants via invitation only, and is expected to be rolled out to sellers not participating in the FBA program or selling on Amazon during 2022.

A corresponding buy button will then be able to be integrated directly on the merchants’ website, which will redirect Amazon Prime subscribers to the familiar shipping process. Amazon wants to offer Prime members additional advantages when buying from external online stores, while the Prime logo will represent the same high standards as if you were buying directly from the shipping giant.

At the same time, however, merchants should also benefit from Buy with Prime and, for example, strengthen customer loyalty and satisfaction. Merchants who already participate in FBA can integrate the new program directly into their online store with just a few steps.

No long-term contracts or subscription fees

At the same time, however, participating merchants will not be tied to the program for the long term, and there will be no subscription fees either. However, Amazon charges for the sale of products for service, the payment process or storage. The company has not yet commented on the amount of these fees.
