Anker 541 and 543: Sustainable plant-based charging cables

Anker presented a wide range of new products at the IFA. Among them were new headphones, but also the company’s first 3D printer. Away from that, Anker presented us with practical accessories. Indeed, with Anker 541 and Anker 543, promising organic cables are coming our way that want to be one thing above all – sustainable.

Tailored power supply for the iPhone 14

Hand on heart: which booth would you rather check out at IFA? The one from LG, where among other things a 97-inch OLED TV was presented? Or the one from Anker, where they presented brand new charging cables? Many would probably opt for the former. In fact, Anker presented three exciting new products for charging. First, there is the new charger Anker 511 Nano 3. This fits not only visually tailored to the upcoming iPhone 14, which was presented on September 07 at the annual fall keynote from Apple.

On top of that, it also fits Apple’s noble smartphone perfectly from the inner values. After all, it offers 30 watts of power, which harmonizes perfectly with the latest generation of the iPhone. To ensure that everything runs according to the highest security standards, Anker uses PowerIQ 3.0, which combines the highest security with fast charging. In addition, ActiveShield 2.0 is used. This feature regularly measures the temperatures of the power supply and shuts it down in an emergency.

Anchor 541 and Anker 543 are sustainable organic charging cables

Furthermore, the Chinese hardware developer presented us with a number of new charging cables. With Anker 541 and Anker 543, a total of 16 different charging cables are coming our way. This large number can be attributed to the variety in which Anker wants to offer its new cables. On the one hand, you can choose between a length of 90 cm or 180 cm. In addition, you can choose between a variant with USB-C to USB-C (Anker 543) with 100 watts of power or USB-C to Lightning (Anker 541) with 30 watts of power.

The exciting thing about the two new charging cables are the materials they are made of. Thus, Anker relies here on 40 percent purely vegetable material. According to the manufacturer, the raw material is sugar beet or corn. Despite or precisely because of the vegetable components, Anker 541 and Anker 543 are said to be able to offer a surprising amount of stability. Anker talks about being able to withstand a load of 80 kg.

Prices and Availability

You can buy the biological charging cables and the promising charger right now. You can get the Anker 511 Nano 3 in purple, black and white at an MSRP of 24.99 euros. For the charging cables, you can again opt for the colors white, black, green or gray. The Anker 541 is available for 19.99 euros (90 cm) or 24.99 euros (180 cm). For the Anker 543, the Chinese manufacturer calls for 17.99 euros (90 cm) or 19.99 euros (180 cm).
