Anker 633: 10,000 mAh strong MagSafe powerbank for iPhones presented

With the new MagSafe powerbank Anker 633, iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 can be fully charged up to two times thanks to a 10,000 mAh capacity. Thanks to a kickstand, the battery pack also serves as a stand for the Apple smartphone.

With the 622 model, Anker already offered a powerful MagSafe battery pack for iPhone models of the 12 and 13 series, which brought it to a capacity of 5,000 mAh and thus lasted significantly longer than the Apple original in the form of the external MagSafe battery.

With the newly introduced Anker 633, the manufacturer doubles the capacity to a whopping 10,000 mAh. According to the manufacturer, that’s enough to fully charge the iPhone 12’s battery a full two times and the iPhone 13’s 1.8 times, after all.

As always, the manufacturer’s naming is a bit confusing, as they already offer a 2-in-1 MagSafe charger under the same name in Germany. The manufacturer’s U.S. website currently lacks any references to the 10,000 mAh battery pack, although it is already listed by the U.S. offshoot of the mail-order company Amazon.

Wireless charging at 7.5 watts

Accordingly, the Anker 633 Battery Pack is supposed to provide current iPhone models with new juice wirelessly with a maximum charging power of 7.5 watts. Alternatively, the powerbank can also be connected to the smartphone via USB-C to Lightning cable and then realizes a speed of 20 watts.

An additional USB-A port on the bottom also allows charging another device at the same time. And of course, the powerbank is also able to charge all other devices via the USB-C port – in case there is no iPhone at hand.

Five LEDs on the right side inform about the charging status of the powerbank. On the back is a fold-out kickstand that allows the iPhone connected via MagSafe to be placed on a surface in landscape and portrait mode.

According to Amazon, the Anker 633 Battery Pack weighs around 218 grams and comes to a thickness of just under 18 millimeters, which in combination with the iPhone should exceed the dimensions of most trouser pockets.

Price and availability

The Anker 633 Battery Pack is currently only listed by Amazon in the US and has an MSRP of $79.99. An official announcement from the manufacturer is currently still pending. It is also unclear whether the MagSafe power bank will make it to Germany. The smaller Anker 622 model with a capacity of 5,000 mAh is available for 59.99 Euros.
