With the Anker SOLIX Power Dock Pro, Anker is expanding its energy system around the X1 home storage system and is launching a central component for intelligent energy management in households. The new solution combines grid switching, backup controller and energy management in one system and is designed to make solar power more efficient to use. In conjunction with the modular X1 Home Energy System, it creates a comprehensive solution for self-consumption, power storage and emergency power supply – even during power outages.

  • Automatic transfer switch with backup controller for the X1 home storage system
  • Emergency power supply for the entire household without separate backup distribution
  • Integration of existing solar systems also possible during power outages
  • Scalable storage capacity of up to 180 kWh in combination with the X1 system

Anker SOLIX Power Dock Pro expands the X1 Home Energy System

With the Anker SOLIX Power Dock Pro, Anker is further developing its energy system towards a holistic solution for households. While the X1 Home Energy System is designed as a modular battery system, the Power Dock Pro takes over the central control of energy flows in the household.

Technically, it is an automatic transfer switch with an integrated backup controller that is specially designed for professional installations. The device supports a maximum current of 63 amps and has two inverter interfaces with up to 45 amps or 10 kilowatts per phase. In addition, Anker integrates its own power measurement and a 45 amp smart port.

The Power Dock Pro works together with the Anker SOLIX X1 battery system. This has a modular design and can be expanded as required. The storage capacity ranges from 5 to 180 kilowatt hours, and up to six systems can be operated in parallel. The maximum output power reaches 12 kilowatts.

Another advantage is the compact design of the system. With a depth of around 15 centimeters, the installation remains comparatively space-saving. At the same time, the system is designed for demanding operating conditions: According to the manufacturer, it operates in a temperature range of -20 to +55 degrees Celsius, has IP66 certification against dust and water as well as a C5-M anti-corrosion rating for high resistance in demanding environments.

The noise level also remains very low at under 30 decibels, which is important for use in residential environments.

Intelligent energy management and emergency power supply for the home

A central purpose of the Anker SOLIX Power Dock Pro is intelligent energy management. In normal mains operation, the system automatically controls the energy flows between several components:

  • Photovoltaic system
  • X1 battery storage
  • household consumers
  • power grid

The aim of this control system is to use as much self-generated solar power as possible in your own household. This increases self-consumption while at the same time reducing the consumption of grid electricity.

In the event of a power failure, the system automatically switches to off-grid operation. According to the manufacturer, the switchover is carried out using 0 ms load-side switching technology so that important consumers can continue to be supplied with energy. The switching time in classic UPS mode is around 10 milliseconds.

A decisive advantage over many classic backup systems is that no separate backup distribution is required for critical circuits. Thanks to the 63 A interface and integrated load management, the entire household can continue to be supplied in an emergency – from important appliances to everyday consumers.

In addition, the Power Dock Pro also supports existing third-party photovoltaic systems. While many PV systems switch off automatically in the event of a power failure, the solar power generated here can continue to be used. This can be consumed directly in the household or used to charge the X1 battery. This significantly extends the available emergency power time.

The system has also been optimized for installation companies. Thanks to integrated measurement technology and the elimination of separate cabling for critical loads, installation costs can be reduced.

Conclusion

With the Anker SOLIX Power Dock Pro, Anker is further developing its energy system into a comprehensive solution for modern household energy management. In combination with the modular X1 home storage system, the system enables efficient use of solar power, flexible storage capacities and a reliable emergency power supply for the entire household. The Power Dock Pro will be available from certified specialist installers, but specific pricing details have not yet been published.
