Today, Anker SOLIX presented its latest hardware innovation at a launch event in Berlin: the Solarbank 3 Pro. The new flagship of the modular energy storage solution for balcony power plants not only offers significantly more power, but also smart features based on AI – and could therefore set new standards in the field of home energy supply.

High-end technology for the balcony
With the Anker SOLIX series, the expert for smart energy solutions has had the perfect solution for balcony power station owners for some time now. The first generation Anker SOLIX Solarbank E1600 (Review | € 499.00 *) and the second generation Anker SOLIX Solarbank 2 Pro (Review | € 999.00 *) have already been put through their paces in our test series. Now Anker SOLIX has announced the third generation of the memory.
The Anker SOLIX Solarbank 3 Pro comes with a concentrated load of technology that goes far beyond what conventional balcony storage systems have offered to date. With four integrated MPPT trackers, up to eight solar modules can be connected. The input capacity is an impressive 3,600 W – around twice as much as comparable systems. Thanks to a rated AC output of 1,200 W (currently 800 W in Austria), the solar bank can not only absorb electricity, but also deliver the same amount. In practice, savings of up to 1,500 euros per year should be possible – depending on consumption and the system configuration.
The base unit has a storage capacity of 2,688 Wh. Thanks to the modular design, the storage system can be expanded to a whopping 16 kWh with up to five additional modules. Compatibility with the previous Solarbank 2 series also ensures additional flexibility when retrofitting. Particularly future-proof: an announced parallel connection will enable up to four Solarbank systems to be operated simultaneously in future – for a maximum output of 4.8 kW and 64.5 kWh capacity. However, this requires a professional installation.
AI on board: energy management with Anker Intelligence
One highlight of the new solar bank is the integration of Anker Intelligence – an AI-supported platform for smart energy management. It uses weather data, consumption habits and grid tariffs to forecast the next day’s energy requirements and adjusts the charging behavior accordingly.
For example, the software analyzes electricity price fluctuations with dynamic tariffs – for example via providers such as Tibber – and charges the battery specifically when prices are low or when sunshine is forecast. Additional hardware such as the Anker SOLIX Smart Meter (€ 92.00 *) provides the necessary consumption data. In combination with Anker Smart Plugs (€ 89.00 *), surplus electricity can be efficiently fed into household appliances such as kettles or e-bikes.
This means that a complete grid feed-in can often be avoided – with a maximum self-consumption rate. Alternatively, third-party products such as Shelly Pro 3EM (€ 90.50 *) can also be integrated into the system.
Design, security and sustainability
Anker SOLIX also relies on proven qualities when it comes to design. The Solarbank 3 Pro remains compact and elegant – despite its higher storage capacity, the housing measures only three centimeters more than its predecessor. The construction is IP65-certified, shockproof, UV-resistant and designed for temperatures down to -20 °C. The long-life LFP batteries (lithium iron phosphate) allow up to 6,000 charging cycles.
TÜV and VDE certifications and an intelligent temperature management system ensure maximum operational safety. The commitment to sustainability is reflected in a 10-year guarantee and 15 years of guaranteed service. Anker is thus clearly positioning itself as a provider of long-term and reliable energy solutions for private use.

With the Solarbank 3 Pro, Anker SOLIX is not only launching an upgrade in terms of performance, but also a highly intelligent energy management system for private households. The Solarbank 3 Pro is available to pre-order from today. The RRP in Germany is 1,499 euros. Anker estimates an RRP of 899 euros for the additional battery.
