AnkerMake: Manufacturer Anker will also offer 3D printers in the future

The highly competitive 3D printer market has gained a new big player. Accessory manufacturer Anker, known for power banks or docking stations, is also entering the market in the future with the new brand AnkerMake with a crowdfunding project for 3D printers. The launch is expected to take place before the end of spring 2022.

AnkerMake: crowdfunding project for 3D printers launches

Accessory manufacturer Anker might be known to many primarily for its powerbanks, docking solutions or Soundcore-brand headphones, such as most recently the Life Q35 (our review). Now the company is taking an even broader stance with a new crowdfunding project.

Called AnkerMake, it plans to enter the 3D printer market. A corresponding website has already been activated, but it does not yet provide many details about the planned project.

The first 3D printer of the new brand is to be presented to the public in spring 2022. The release and financing is to be realized with the help of a crowdfunding campaign on the Kickstarter platform.

What kind of 3D printer it will be the first model of AnkerMake, however, is currently still completely unclear. We don’t know yet if it will be a PLA filament printer, an SLA resin printer, or some other type of 3D printer.

What kind of 3D printer does AnkerMake offer?

PLA printers are characterized by a comparatively cheaper price, but they achieve this mainly by a lower quality of printed results. SLA printers provide significantly more detailed results, but are more expensive to maintain and usually require additional cleaning agents, the use of gloves and other utensils.

The render image on AnkerMake’s website shows a print head that suggests a PLA filament printer. The “Prints soft curves” lettering, on the other hand, suggests the increased level of detail of an SLA counterpart. So it remains exciting. Anyone interested in AnkerMake’s products can sign up for a newsletter on the company’s homepage, which aims to provide further details in the future.
