AOC AG275QXL: Gaming monitor comes with League of Legends design

Fans of the free MOBA hit League of Legends have reason to rejoice. Manufacturer AOC releases a gaming monitor in the design of the Esports title. The AOC AG275QXL is strongly reminiscent of the AOC AG275QXE released last year, but relies on various design elements from the MOBA title.

The eye-catching AOC AG275QXL gaming monitor has already been spotted on the manufacturer’s Chinese product page, where it was spotted by Prad.de. The gaming monitor is completely aimed at League of Legends fans and reminds us of the MOBA title not only visually with golden ornaments on the monitor and stand and LoL lettering. Even the monitor’s on-screen menu is supposed to be based on League of Legends.

From a purely technical point of view, the AOC AG275QXL is a 27-inch gaming monitor with an IPS panel and a WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels). The refresh rate is said to be 170 Hz, the color depth comes to 10 bits and the contrast ratio is 1000:1.

Response time is claimed to be 1ms when changing grayscale (gray to gray), while brightness of 350 cd/m² for normal and 400 cd/m² for HDR content earns the monitor a DisplayHDR-400 certification.

DisplayPort 1.4 and Adaptive Sync

However, the 170 Hz are only realized when connected via DisplayPort 1.4. A maximum of 144 Hz is possible with the two available HDMI 2.0 ports. AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync are supported via Adaptive Sync, and the monitor also offers a Delta-E value of less than 2, as well as a color space coverage of 98 percent sRGB and 94 percent DCI-P3.

Other features include a four-port USB 3.2 hub, headphone out, microphone in, integrated 5-watt stereo speakers, and a headset mount including a wired remote.

In terms of convenience features, the AOC AG275QXL relies on a height-adjustable, swivel and tilt display including pivot function, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering and flicker-free backlighting.

Price and Availability

The AOC AG275QXL League of Legends gaming monitor will initially launch in the US in March 2022, after which it will also make its way to European retailers. The manufacturer’s MSRP is $479.99.

When will the AOC AG275QXL be released in Germany? In Germany, the monitor is already listed by Media Markt and Saturn, among others. There, a release date in August 2022 (between 13.08.2022 – 16.08.2022) is given. The price is 529 euros.
