AGON by AOC has unveiled two new gaming monitors from its AGON 5 lineup. Both models rely on a screen diagonal of 27 inches and 68.6 cm, respectively, but differ in terms of display technology.

The AOC AGON AG275QZ/EU relies on a Fast IPS panel with Quantum Dot layer for 1.07 billion colors with a refresh rate of 240 Hz (overdriveable to 270 Hz) and a gray-to-grey response time of 1 ms or 0.5 ms MPRT.

It also offers 10-bit color depth and displays 1.07 billion colors. Due to its wide color gamut coverage of 99.9Percent AdobeRGB, 100Percent sRGB and 97.5Precent DCI-P3, the AG275QZ/EU is ideal for content creators, YouTubers and live streamers.

The idetnsich-looking AOC AGON AG275QZN/EU, on the other hand, comes with a fast VA panel and offers a better contrast ratio accordingly. It also achieves a refresh rate of 240 hertz and offers a response time of 1 ms GtG or 0.5 ms MPRT.

Its Fast VA panel displays 16.7 million colors and offers a higher contrast ratio of 3,000:1. The color space coverage is also quite impressive here: 89.3% AdobeRGB, 99.7% sRGB and 89.9% DCI-P3 are on the books.

The versatile monitors are both VESA DisplayHDR-400 certified and both support HDR10 for high dynamic range content playback. Both displays also come in 100 percent recyclable paper pad packaging.

Fresh Design

AOC AGON AG275QZ/EU and AG275QZN/EU come in a new slim design that is borderless on three sides. This makes them ideal for multi-monitor setups and – thanks to their compact stand – also for smaller desks.

Ergonomically, they also have a lot to offer. Both models can be adjusted in height, swivel, tilt and rotate (pivot function) for a gentle posture even during longer sessions.

An opening for cable routing is integrated directly into the stand, while the monitors have a built-in power supply, which also saves space. An integrated 4-port USB hub (USB 3.2 Gen 1) is available for easy connection of peripherals and more.

Also offered on both gaming monitors is a console mode that allows use in 2,560 x 1,440 pixels at 120 Hz. 4K signals can be received and automatically downscaled to QHD.

Prices and Availability

The two new gaming monitors, the AOC AGON AG275QZ/EU and AOC AGON AG275QZN/EU, are expected to make their way to retailers before the end of November 2022. The AG275QZ/EU comes in at a suggested retail price of €819.00, while the AG275QZN/EU has an MSRP of €569.00.
