AOC Agon AG353UCG: 35 inch gaming monitor with 200Hz

You still need a large gaming monitor for your setup? Then the Agon AG353UCG, which manufacturer AOC recently introduced, could be just the thing for you. This high-end gaming monitor for enthusiasts comes in the stretched 21:9 format, which is well known from movie theaters. The screen diagonal measures 35 inches, but due to the stretched aspect ratio, the Agon AG353UCG has only the height of a 24-inch monitor. The matt VA panel also has a curvature with a radius of curvature of 1,800 R.

AOC Agon AG353UCG: Overview of the most important display features

The Agon AG353UCG gaming monitor is equipped with a high pixel resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels (UWQHD) and a response time of 4 ms (gray to gray). The fast frame rate of 200 Hz is of course especially advantageous for games where the smooth display of fast movements is important. Adaptive synchronization is also achieved with the support of Nvidia’s G-Sync Ultimate, which avoids ugly and annoying tearing.

The manufacturer AOC specifies a punctual luminosity of 1,000 cd/m² and the gaming monitor with a high black level should thus have a large dynamic range for HDR10, which means that it should be designed for DisplayHDR1000. The quantum dot panel has 512 illumination zones. The monitor is also suitable for professional image editing and video editing because it should be able to display 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color spectrum. The stretched aspect ratio should also make work in this area much easier.

AOC Agon AG353UCG: ergonomics, connections and price

The display in the black housing can be tilted via the black-red stand and adjusted in height by 12 cm. The Agon AG353UCG can be mounted on monitor brackets using a VESA mount at a distance of 100 x 100 mm. A holder for headsets and headphones can be pulled out on the side of the display. On the back there is also a ring-shaped RGB LED lighting for RGB fans. The gaming monitor is connected via Displayport 1.4, of which two connections are available. An HDMI 2.0 connection is also provided – but then only 100Hz are possible. Last but not least, you can use four USB Type A ports via a USB 3.0 hub.

The Agon AG353UCG’s recommended retail price is 2,509 Euro, but at Amazon it is currently available for a cheaper 2,353.62 Euro.
