AOC: AGON PRO monitors with up to 240 Hz, HDR and fast IPS panels

AOC expands its AGON PRO display lineup for competitive gamers, introducing a new 27-inch monitor trio: the AG274QXM (QHD at 170Hz) with mini-LED IPS panel and VESA DisplayHDR-1000 certification, as well as the AG274UXP (4K at 144Hz) and AG274QG (QHD at 240Hz), both four-sided frameless monitors with fast IPS panels and VESA DisplayHDR-600 support.

The monitor is aimed primarily at hardcore and e-sports gamers who need as many frames per second as possible, but still don’t want to compromise on color fidelity. The 27-inch display features a fast IPS panel with QHD resolution (2560 x 1440) and a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz for incredibly detailed, buttery smooth gameplay.

With only 1 ms response time (gray to gray), the AOC AGON PRO AG274QG is perfect for competitive gamers. Moreover, thanks to the integrated NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer, even the system latency can be read out. By connecting a mouse with Reflex support, such as AOC’s GM500, the analyzer gives the user instant feedback on system latency.

With 1.07 billion colors covering 98% of the DCI-P3 range, the AG274QG also supports DisplayHDR 600 to display brilliantly bright sunlight and eerily deep shadows simultaneously. NVIDIA G-SYNC ULTIMATE certification indicates an integrated premium NVIDIA G-SYNC processor for lifelike HDR, excellent contrast and ultra-low latency.

AGON PRO AG274UXP: 4K display with 144 Hz

On the other hand, a higher resolution is offered by the AOC AGON PRO AG274UXP, whose Nano IPS panel combines a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) with a 144 Hz frame rate, all with a GtG response time of 1 ms.

The color-accurate monitor supports DisplayHDR 600 for rich, very bright and dynamic displays, 1.07 billion colors and 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut. In the process, the monitor comes with a four-sided frameless design and Shadow Shield.

HDMI 2.1 support makes the AG274UXP fully compatible with new-generation consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X), which can output 4K at 120 Hz and support variable refresh rate. Tearing and stuttering are eliminated on both consoles and PC as it is compatible with G-SYNC.

AG274QXM: QHD and 170 Hz

In between, AOC positions the AG274QXM. The exceptional mini-LED backlight and fast IPS panel with QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) offer 576 dimming zones for DisplayHDR-1000 support. This achieves a lower halo effect and more uniform brightness than edge-lit HDR displays.

The high-class DisplayHDR 1000 certifies a peak brightness of 1000 nits and particularly deep black levels. With 1.07 billion colors and a DCI-P3 gamut of 99%, the AG274QXM offers a particularly wide color spectrum. Thanks to the monitor’s 170 Hz refresh rate with 1 ms GtG, even competitive gamers will get their money’s worth. G-SYNC compatibility to prevent tearing is also on board.

AOC AGON PRO: Monitors with USB hub, RGB lighting and more

All three monitors are equipped with a 120mm height-adjustable and versatile stand for comfortable gaming sessions. A 4-port USB 3.2 hub allows you to connect peripherals such as keyboards, mice, streaming lights, or webcams.

They also feature the RGB lighting (Light FX) and AGON logo projection introduced in previous AGON PRO models to optimize personalization. The QuickSwitch controller, a wired remote for easy adjustment of game-specific functions in the OSD, is included with all three models. However, the OSD can also be controlled via the monitor itself or via the G-Menu software (AG274QXM and AG274UXP).

In addition, all three monitors offer dual 5W speakers with DTS support for clear and rich sound. The AG274QXM and AG274UXP further feature a USB-C port (65 W power output) and an integrated KVM switch, while the AG274UXP has picture-by-picture mode.

Pricing and Availability

The AGON PRO AG274QXM will be available in October 2021 at an MSRP of $1,049.00. The other two models will follow in February 2022. Pricing-wise, both the AGON PRO AG274UXP and the AGON PRO AG274QG have an MSRP of 999.00 euros.
