AOC P2 Series: Four new business monitors with QHD, 4K and USB-C unveiled

Display specialist AOC continues to expand its P2 business monitor series and presents four new USB-C models in the sizes 68.6 cm (27″) and 80 cm (32″). Depending on the model, resolution of up to 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) and a refresh rate of up to 75 Hz are offered.

New AOC P2 Monitors

AOC is expanding its monitor portfolio with four new models from the P2 business series, each of which comes in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes and relies on USB Type-C connectivity. The product name already provides information about the resolution of the monitors.

The U models U32P2CA (32″) and U27P2CA (27″) offer a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), while the Q32P2CA (32″) and Q27P2CA (27″) display variants have a QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. What they all have in common is the USB-C interface for connecting laptops, tablets and mobile devices. The video signal as well as power and data can be easily transferred to connected SSD or hard drives via a single cable.

The top-of-the-line AOC U32P2CA features a VA panel with native 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) and an exceptional contrast ratio of 3000:1. Its brightness of 350 nits, as well as deep blacks and wide color gamut coverage (119% sRGB, 97.3% AdobeRGB, 90.7% DCI-P3), ensure crystal-clear displays with rich, vivid images at all times, even in very bright lighting conditions. The little brother U27P2CA, on the other hand, has to make do with an IPS panel including lower values for the color space.

The manufacturer relies on an IPS panel and a refresh rate of 75 Hz for the QHD models AOC Q32P2CA and AOC Q27P2CA. The Q27P2CA is characterized by a high color space coverage (126.5% sRGB, 108.4% AdobeRGB and 100.8% DCI-P3).

A low response time of 4 ms (GtG) also makes the AOC P2 monitors fit for gaming. Thanks to Adaptive Sync support, the monitor’s refresh rate can be synchronized with the GPU’s frame rate for a smooth display.

Additional features on board

To make the most of the size and resolution, the U32P2CA and U27P2CA support Picture-by-Picture mode. For a tidy desk and more flexibility, it is equipped with a cable management opening in the stand as well as a four-port USB 3.2 hub for easy connection of keyboard and mouse.

The USB-C port powers and charges laptops or other devices (up to 65W). At the same time, it also functions as a regular USB interface, for example, to transfer files from an external drive that is connected to the monitor’s USB hub.

All four newly introduced monitors are 100 x 100 mm VESA-compatible and feature a 3.5 mm headphone jack, two loudspeakers each – 3 W for the 32-inchers, 2 W for the 27-inchers – as well as an ergonomic stand. The displays can be adjusted in height by 150 mm, rotated by 90° (pivot) and tilted and swiveled in a wide range via the stand.

Mini PCs or NUCs can be attached directly to the stand of the four models via AOC’s optional VESA P2 mount, creating a simple all-in-one solution that is open to further upgrades.
