With Apple Business, Apple is introducing a new platform that bundles central business services into a single solution. The aim is to significantly simplify the management of devices, apps and user accounts while improving collaboration. The approach of addressing both small companies without their own IT department and larger organizations with more complex requirements is particularly interesting.

  • Integrated device management (MDM) for Apple hardware
  • Email, calendar and directory services with their own domain
  • Central platform for branding, locations and customer interaction
  • Available free of charge in over 200 countries from April 2026

Apple Business Platform combines device management and productivity

With the new Apple Business Platform, Apple is pursuing a clear approach: previously separate services such as device management, communication and brand presence are brought together in a central interface. This significantly reduces complexity and makes it easier for smaller companies in particular to get started with professional IT structures.

The integrated Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution takes center stage. Companies can use it to centrally manage, configure and monitor all Apple devices. New devices can be set up automatically using ready-made templates so that employees are immediately ready for use. This automation saves time and also ensures uniform security standards.

Another key point is the introduction of managed Apple accounts. These enable a clear separation between professional and private data on a device, which improves both data protection and security. Accounts can be created and managed automatically through integration with existing identity services such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Entra ID.

App distribution is also simplified: applications can be provided centrally via the App Store and assigned to specific teams or roles. In addition, an admin API offers the option of efficiently controlling larger IT environments and automating processes.

Communication, branding and customer contact in one platform

In addition to device management, Apple Business also expands the possibilities for collaboration and outreach. Companies can set up their own email addresses with individual domains and receive integrated calendar and directory services. Functions such as calendar delegation or a central employee directory facilitate internal communication and organization.

One particularly interesting aspect is the integration of branding and location functions. Companies can design their presence uniformly across various Apple services – from Apple Maps to Wallet and Mail. Brand profiles, location maps and individual actions such as “Order” or “Reserve” can be managed and updated directly.

The platform also provides insights into how customers interact with the company’s own locations. Analyses of search queries, views or clicks help to improve visibility and reach in a targeted manner. Functions such as “Tap to Pay” on the iPhone also benefit from the integration, as brand information can be displayed directly during the payment process.

The technical implementation seems plausible, as Apple is already merging existing services such as Apple Business Manager, Business Connect and Essentials. The consolidation of these solutions into one platform is in line with a clear industry trend towards integrated ecosystems.

Conclusion: Apple Business as a logical step towards simplification

With Apple Business, Apple is creating a comprehensive platform that combines and significantly simplifies key business functions. The combination of device management, communication and brand management makes the solution particularly versatile. With free availability from April 14, 2026 in over 200 countries, the platform is likely to quickly gain in importance. Additional functions such as extended iCloud storage or support remain available for a fee.
