Apple: Screen bug in iPhone 13 annoys users

The iPhone has been available for almost a quarter of a year now and there are more and more statements about a strange discoloration of the screen. The screen is sometimes said to have an annoying pink tint.

Software problem?

Of course, the fear is great when such an expensive smartphone as the iPhone 13 has teething problems. Affected users with the said bug will probably not have fared any differently. However, according to initial findings, broken hardware does not seem to be responsible for the pink screen. The iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Mini are all affected by this problem. So far, it is not possible to say at which points the sudden pink screen appears. This seems to be a complete coincidence. Apple itself sees a software bug behind the problem. The tech company announced this on the Chinese news portal Weibo. The choice of the medium is not coincidental. After all, it is mainly Chinese users who report the error. Since it is supposed to be a software problem, the company has so far only given the tip to keep all applications on the smartphone up to date.

Solution will probably come with next software update

Certainly, the software developers in Cupertino, Apple’s headquarters, are currently working at full speed on a solution to the problem. There is no question that they will find the cause for the pink screen. However, it is still unclear when this will happen. We assume that the next major software update to iOS 15.3 will also address this problem. However, all of this has to be considered under the condition that it really is a software bug. If there is a hardware bug behind the whole story, the developers will not find a cause for the problem. Instead, Apple will have to initiate a costly recall. We are curious when the bug will be fixed.
