ASRock AI BOX-A395

With the ASRock AI BOX-A395, the manufacturer presents a powerful mini PC system that is specially designed for demanding applications and local AI calculations. Despite its compact dimensions, the device combines modern AMD hardware, fast memory options and versatile connectivity. The focus is particularly on high computing power and flexible usage scenarios – from workstations to edge AI applications.

  • AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with integrated Radeon 8060S
  • Support for up to 128 GB LPDDR5X RAM (onboard)
  • Dual M.2 SSD slots with PCIe 4.0 for fast storage
  • 10 Gbit LAN, WiFi 7 and USB4 for modern connectivity

ASRock AI BOX-A395 brings powerful AI performance in a compact chassis

The ASRock AI BOX-A395 combines desktop performance with a comparatively compact form factor of just 200 × 100 × 232 mm. Inside is an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU, which combines CPU and GPU performance in one chip. A dedicated graphics card is not necessary as the integrated Radeon 8060S provides sufficient performance for many computing-intensive tasks.

There is a particular focus on AI applications. The integrated AI acceleration makes the system suitable for local machine learning workloads, image processing or data analysis. Especially in times of growing data protection requirements, local processing is becoming increasingly important compared to cloud solutions. The combination of CPU, GPU and AI units makes the system versatile – from developer environments to professional workflows.

The system is also generous when it comes to RAM: up to 128 GB LPDDR5X RAM is available. However, this is permanently soldered memory, which enables high speeds but does not allow subsequent upgrades. Nevertheless, the maximum configuration should be sufficient for many professional applications.

For mass storage, the AI BOX-A395 offers two M.2-2280 slots with PCIe 4.0 connection. Classic hard disks are not supported, but this is hardly a disadvantage in the context of modern high-performance SSDs. The storage solution is clearly optimized for speed and efficiency.

Modern connections and fast network technology for professional use

In addition to pure computing power, the ASRock AI BOX-A395 scores points above all for its extensive connectivity. The network equipment is particularly noteworthy: in addition to a 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet port, a 10 Gbit/s connection is also available. This enables extremely fast data transfers in the local network – for example when accessing large data sets or network storage.

Wireless connections are realized via WiFi 7, supplemented by Bluetooth 5.4, making the system ideally equipped for modern wireless peripherals and fast WLAN networks.

The variety of connections is also impressive: USB4 ports not only enable high data rates, but also support DisplayPort 2.1 for image output. HDMI 2.1 and several USB 3.2 Gen2 ports are also available. This allows multiple monitors to be operated simultaneously, which is particularly beneficial for productive working environments.

The integrated power supply delivers up to 400 watts and ensures that the powerful hardware can be operated stably even under load. Overall, the result is a system that hardly compromises on performance or features despite its compact design.

Conclusion: Powerful mini PC for AI and professional applications

The ASRock AI BOX-A395 impresses as a compact but powerful mini PC with a focus on AI workloads and modern applications. The combination of Ryzen AI processor, fast RAM and extensive connectivity makes the system particularly interesting for professional users. Information on price and availability is still pending, but is likely to be decisive for market positioning.
