ASTRO Gaming A10 Gen 2: New edition of the popular gaming headset

Under the Logitech G umbrella, the manufacturer today unveiled a new edition of the popular ASTRO Gaming A10 Gen 2 wired gaming headset. The new edition aims to score with outstanding comfort and exceptional audio quality.

The A10 from ASTRO Gaming has been one of the most popular gaming headsets in the lower price segment for several years now. Now the manufacturer is launching a new edition under the Logitech G umbrella, which goes by the name ASTRO Gaming A10 Gen 2.

The second generation is equipped with specially tuned 32 mm drivers that are supposed to offer a balanced high-fidelity sound. The impedance (32 ohms) and covered frequency range (20 Hz to 20,000 Hz) are at typical gaming headset values.

The integrated boom microphone can be muted at any time and folded down for communication with just one flick of the wrist. The 6 mm microphone uses a unidirectional pickup pattern. The headset connects via a 3.5 mm jack plug.

Size and comfort

With dimensions of 173 mm x 183 mm x 77 mm (height x width x depth) and a weight of 240 grams (without cable), the ASTRO Gaming A10 Gen 2 turns out to be comparatively compact and light. At the same time, however, the manufacturer relies on a durable and robust frame with a flexible headband.

On the other hand, the ergonomic design and the generous memory foam pads on the ears, as well as on the underside of the headband are supposed to ensure a high wearing comfort even in the long run.

The A10 Gen 2 is CarbonNeutral certified, making it one of the most sustainable gaming headsets in ASTRO’s portfolio. This means that Logitech G pays a certified carbon offset to reduce the product’s environmental footprint to zero. In addition, the materials used are at least 35 percent recycled plastic and the paper packaging comes from FSCTM certified forests.

Price and Availability

The ASTRO Gaming A10 Gen 2 is available in stores now. Offered is the gaming headset in a total of five color variants: black, white, mint, gray and purple. The manufacturer’s MSRP is 59.99 euros.
