ASUS BE27ACSBK: New WQHD monitor with integrated webcam presented

With the ASUS BE27ACSBK, the manufacturer has introduced an exciting new model in its webcam monitor series for business users. The integrated full-HD webcam can be flexibly positioned and provides a range of technological solutions for added convenience in video conferencing.

The ASUS BE27ACSBK in detail

In the new ASUS BE27ACSBK, the manufacturer installs a 27-inch frameless IPS panel that comes with a WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels). It achieves a brightness of 350 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1, while the sRGB color space is completely covered. ASUS puts the response time at 5 milliseconds (gray to gray), and the maximum refresh rate is 60 Hz.

For more viewing comfort and to protect against potentially harmful blue light, the monitors offer four blue light filter settings that have been certified by TÜV-Rheinland. Flicker-free technology reduces screen flicker for a comfortable environment.

The webcam monitors are best suited for video conferencing and live streaming due to the integrated 2 MP full HD webcam. Since the webcam is built directly into the screen, no additional hardware is required. For the ideal recording position, the wireless camera can be flexibly rotated 315 ° in both directions and tilted by 10 percent.

With the help of the ASUS BE27ACSBK’s auto face exposure, the face is automatically detected and fine-tuned to appear brighter and stand out from the background. The camera also features a sliding lens cover to protect personal privacy and general security.

Glass-clear voice communication

For outstanding recording quality, the integrated microphone offers a range of technology-based solutions. From beamforming technology, which separates voice information from background noise, to intelligent echo cancellation and ASUS AI Noise-Cancelling. The latter filters out background noise thanks to AI algorithms to increase audio quality.

A processor with AI-enhanced profiles reduces over 500 million types of background noise while preserving voice harmonics, so clear voice communication is achieved in any environment.

HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-D, D-Sub and USB 3.0 interfaces

ASUS’ webcam monitors feature a variety of connectivity options, including HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-D, D-Sub, and USB-3.0, plus an easy-access headphone jack.

The ASUS BE27ACSBK also adds a USB-C port for super-fast data transfers, DisplayPort connectivity, and 80-watt power for charging devices via a single USB-C cable.

However, the monitor also serves as a USB hub. Any device connected to the USB Type-A ports gains access to other connected peripherals. This turns the monitor into a docking station and can be used with just one cable.

Extensive Compatibility

The ASUS BE27ACSBK is Zoom certified. The built-in camera, microphone and speakers have been tested for Zoom Rooms functionality and meet higher standards for video and audio performance. The BE27ACSBK is also compatible with popular video conferencing applications such as Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex and Google Meet.

The BE-Series front panel buttons make it easy to adjust volume, mute the microphone, or end the call. For quick operation, navigation is effortless with the 5-way navigation button, though not all shortcut functions are available in all software.

The viewing position can be freely adjusted with the ergonomic stand, which offers flexible swivel, tilt and height adjustment. In addition, the screen can be rotated vertically a full 90° for use in portrait mode. The webcam monitors are compatible with VESA mounts and can be easily attached to a wall or display arm.
