ASUS completes its WiFi 6E and WiFi 6 ecosystem with new networking products

ASUS has introduced new additions to its existing ecosystem of WiFi 6E and WiFi 6 network infrastructure products. Among them is the world’s first WiFi 6E complete solution consisting of the ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12 (or XT12 in Europe) and ZenWiFi ET8 mesh systems, and the PCE-AXE58BT adapter.

WiFi 6E all-in-one solution enables rapid pace

ASUS wants to launch a holistic WiFi 6E ecosystem and is therefore expanding its own lineup in a new complete solution. This includes, for example, the tri-band 12-stream WiFi 6E mesh system ASUS ZenWiFi Pro ET12/XT12, which delivers maximum combined speeds of up to 11,000 Mbps – with coverage of up to 550 square meters.

In addition to the new 6 GHz band, a new 5.9 GHz high-performance 160 MHz channel is also supported, extending the existing 5 GHz band. Speeds of true 2.5Gb/s are said to be achieved on the two 2.5G Ethernet ports.

Joining them is the ASUS ZenWiFi ET8, a matched pair of WiFi 6E routers that enable speeds of up to 6,600Mbps with seamless coverage throughout the home. Again, the router operates in the new 6 GHz band, and even on up to seven additional 160 MHz channels.

The internal PC solution is the PCE-AXE58BT card, which is also built on the latest WiFi 6E standard. With a compatible router, it offers overall speeds of up to 2,401 Mbps in the 6 GHz and 5 GHz bands, and up to 574 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band.

New WiFi-6 solutions

But ASUS also has new solutions in tow in the WiFi-6 band. Namely, these are the ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12 mesh system and the USB-AX56 USB client adapter. The tri-band mesh WiFi system with WiFi-6 technology reaches speeds of up to 11,000 Mbps. It also features 12 streams and two 2.5G Ethernet ports for maximum performance. The USB-AX56 marks the manufacturer’s first dedicated WiFi-6 USB adapter. It is a plug-and-play device that makes a PC or notebook ready for WiFi 6.

ASUS USB-AX56

With overall speeds in the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands of up to 1,800 Mbps and support for the robust WPA3 security protocol, it’s easy to install even for non-professionals. Details on pricing and launch dates for all new ASUS networking products are currently not available.

Because of the provided driver DR_USB_AX56_WindowsDriver_5001.0.13.104 on the Asus-Site, the USB-AX56 cannot connect over 802.11ax. The driver is prolly subpar and heavily restricted. My 6660 Fritbox sends over ax, all fine with the card by Intel in my Laptop. The USB-AX56 fails regarding WiFi 6.
