ASUS ExpertCenter E5 AiO: New All-in-One PC with Windows

Only Apple can bring all-in-one solutions to retailers? Quite the opposite. Recently, the iMac has faced a lot of competition from Windows alternatives. ASUS now has a new all-in-one PC in its lineup with the ExpertCenter E5 AiO. The technical details already read promising.

Smart design and a lot of performance

“Design meets performance” – that’s the manufacturer’s short summary when it comes to the ASUS ExpertCenter E5 AiO. If you take a look at the design, the company certainly seems to keep its first promise. Here you get an ergonomic stand that can be adjusted in height as well as horizontal and vertical tilt.

The thin screen edges are really chic, which is owed to a screen-to-body ratio of 84 percent. An eye-friendly low-blue-light mode, which has received certification from TÜV-Rheinland, is also supposed to ensure working comfort. But there seems to be a lot going on under the hood as well. In the top features, you get an IntelCore i7-11700B with a graphics unit in the form of Intel UHD.

The CPU gets support from up to 32 GB DDR4 RAM. Two NVMe SSDs, which can be up to 512 GB each, are supposed to provide fast storage. If that is not enough capacity, you can optionally add a 2.5-inch HDD. Obviously, this is a perfect PC for the home office.

ASUS ExpertCenter E5 AiO has many ports

With its 23.8-inch display, the ASUS ExpertCenter E5 AiO roughly draws level with the iMac 24’s 23.5 inches. The display has an IPS panel that resolves with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (Full HD). In view of a full coverage of the sRGB color space and a good brightness of 250 cd/m², the all-in-one PC should be quite suitable for creative people. However, ASUS obviously also has the service sector in mind. The manufacturer offers an optional 5.65-inch touch display that can be mounted on the back of the PC. This could prove to be extremely practical as an input tool in the hotel sector, for example.

The ASUS ExpertCenter E5 AiO is also up to date in terms of connectivity. Besides WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, there are also many ports on offer here. More specifically, you’ll find 1x Thunderbolt, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, 3x USB 3.2 Type-A (Gen.1), 2x USB 2.0 Type-A, 1x HDMI out 2.0a, 1x SD card slot and 1x micro/headphone combo. To be prepared for current video conferencing requirements, the ASUS ExpertCenter E5 AiO offers a 12 MP webcam as well as a microphone with noise-canceling technology. The attractive features are rounded off with security features like an ASUS AdaptiveLock as well as Windows Hello.

Price and Availability

Sounds like an attractive overall package that ASUS is coming up with here. If you’re interested in the ASUS ExpertCenter E5 AiO, you can buy it now for an MSRP starting at 949.00 euros. We are curious to see how well ASUS will establish itself on the market. In view of the competition of all-in-one PCs with Windows, it shouldn’t be that easy. The MSI Modern AM272 and the Lenovo Yoga AIO 7 were announced recently.
