ASUS presents new Zenbooks and ExpertBooks

In addition to the powerful Creator notebooks, ASUS expands its portfolio of the Zenbook and ExpertBook series with two new models each. All laptops rely on a bright and colorful OLED display and come either as a classic or as a flexible flip convertible with stylus support.

Zenbook 14X OLED and Zenbook 14 Flip OLED

Both the new Zenbook 14X OLED (models: UX5400/5401, UM5401) and the 2-in-1 convertible Zenbook 14 Flip OLED (UP5401/UN5401) rely on a 14-inch OLED HDR display in 16:10 format.

They offer either 4K or WQXGA resolution (2,880 x 1,800) and are optionally available with a touch display. For creative and graphics tasks, the display has a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut and is PANTONE-validated, which is supposed to provide ultra-lifelike, lifelike colors.

The Zenbook 14 Flip OLED relies on a 360° ErgoLift hinge, which allows it to be easily and flexibly transformed into a tablet and optionally set up in tent mode. For drawing and writing in tablet mode, a compatible up to 4096 pressure level stylus can be used on demand.

Equipped with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX Mobile processor, up to 16GB of RAM and AMD Radeon graphics, the Zenbook 14X OLED and Zenbook 14 Flip OLED offer the all-around performance needed for smooth multitasking and effortless productivity. The powerful 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor combines with ASUS Intelligent Performance Technology (AIPT) to deliver sustained maximum performance.

Graphics performance is provided by a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce MX450. Also on board is WiFi 6 combined with ASUS WiFi Master Premium technology, which consists of ASUS WiFi Stabilizer for less interference and ASUS WiFi SmartConnect for seamless connectivity.

The case of both notebooks turns out to be extremely slim with a height of only 15.9 mm. Still, there are plenty of ports available, including one USB 3. 2 Gen 2 Type-A and two USB-C 3. 2 Gen 2 ports, an HDMI port, and a microSD card slot. ASUS IceCool Plus cooling technology maximizes the performance of the thin and light notebooks with three fan modes. ASUS also installs a fingerprint sensor on the power button and the ASUS NumberPad 2.0 for easier number entry.

The notebooks offer long battery life and numerous features and technologies to improve work efficiency on the go. These include an 11th-generation Intel Core processor, AI noise cancellation, dual-SSD RAID support, ASUS NumberPad 2.0, and an OLED panel that delivers optimal graphics in any environment.

All four new ASUS notebooks are expected to make their way to retail in the fourth quarter of 2021. The Zenbook 14X OLED will start at an MSRP of 1,299.00 euros, while the Zenbook 14 Flip OLED will be priced at a minimum of 1,799.00 euros.

The ExpertBook B5 OLED will be available in Germany starting at an MSRP of 1,899.00 Euros, and the ExpertBook B5 Flip OLED will also be available starting at 1,899.00 Euros according to the press release – although this is probably a typo.
