ASUS is expanding its ProArt series with the new PA401 Wood Edition case, which impresses with its elegant design and powerful cooling functionality. As a more compact version of the ProArt PA602 Wood Edition, the PA401 offers space for high-performance PC components and keeps them cool efficiently even under load.

Design and materials
The ProArt PA401 Wood Edition is characterized by a front panel made of high-quality ash wood that is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). This sustainable material undergoes an elaborate six-stage manufacturing process, including a thermo-wood treatment that protects the wood from insects, moisture and heat.
A final two-step coating highlights the natural grain and gives the case a matte, glossy finish. Users can choose between a metal side panel for maximum durability or a tempered glass one that allows a view of the internal components.
Cooling performance and airflow
For effective cooling, the PA401 features a 33% porosity front grille that ensures unobstructed air intake. Two 160mm front fans with ring blade design deliver up to 138 cfm of airflow, while a pre-installed 120mm rear fan efficiently dissipates heat. The integrated PWM control allows users to adjust the fan speed depending on the workload, which is particularly beneficial when switching between light tasks and intensive workloads.
Ease of use and connectivity
The PA401 has been designed with ease of installation and handling in mind. Tool-free mounting options for 3.5-inch hard disks and a removable power supply holder make it easy to assemble the system. Cable clips at the rear ensure tidy cable management. The front I/O panel offers a USB Type-C® port with 20 Gbit/s, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and a physical lock for the power and reset buttons to prevent accidental activation.
