ASUS ProArt Projector A1: World's first Calman Verified projector announced

ASUS has announced the ProArt Projector A1, an extremely color-accurate projector that is pre-calibrated at the factory with a color accuracy of Delta E < 2 and is primarily aimed at creative professionals. Thanks to Calman Color Calibration verification, the projector aims to score with a convincing image.

The ProArt Projector A1 is designed specifically for creative professionals who rely on color-accurate projectors. Calman verification is said to ensure that creations look exactly as they should. It is factory pre-calibrated to Delta E < 2 color accuracy and comes with a color calibration test report.

In addition, the projector features an extended color gamut that covers 98% of sRGB and Rec. 709 color spaces, ensuring rich, vibrant projections with lifelike detail. Thanks to ASUS ProArt Preset feature, you can quickly and easily switch between different color modes to display different content types.

The included ASUS ProArt Palette provides an intuitive user interface that allows users to adjust a variety of color parameters, including hue, temperature and gamma values. Both ProArt Preset and ProArt Palette can be accessed via the projector’s remote control or hotkeys.

In terms of resolution, the ASUS ProArt Projector A1 relies on Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and uses a 3,000-lumen mercury-free RGB LED light source that allows projections for up to 30,000 hours. With about 4 hours of use per day, this should allow the projector to do its job for 20 years.

2D Keystone Correction and Wireless Streaming

The ProArt Projector A1 features four-corner and 2D keystone correction, as well as 1.2x zoom for projections in tight spaces. The 2D keystone correction achieves perfectly rectangular images, while the four-corner correction prevents image distortion when the projector is not centered on the screen.

In terms of connectivity, the projector offers wireless streaming support for iOS, Android, and Windows 10 devices. Playback devices can be easily connected using the included USB WiFi dongle.

In terms of connectivity, the projector relies on two HDMI 2.0 ports for 4K content, VGA, audio in/out, RS232 serial, and two USB Type-A ports for compatibility with a wide range of devices.
