ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) introduces new power supplies, monitors and a headset

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has unveiled new power supplies, monitors and headsets at the “Break All Limits” online event that are meant to stand up to even the highest demands and boast exciting features.

ROG Thor 1600W Titanium and Thor 850W, 1000W, 1200W Platinum II power supplies

Offering enthusiasts the ability to power their systems with the stable and reliable performance that modern PCs require, the ROG Thor 1600W Titanium represents the new benchmark in ROG power supply design. Along with this new top-of-the-line model, the ROG Thor Platinum II series comes with numerous improvements that make these power supplies even better.

The Titanium certification, for example, requires an efficiency of more than 90% at a load of 10% to 100%. The ROG Thor 1600W meets these exacting requirements, thanks in part to a digital controller equipped with the precise regulation required for a gaming PC or workstation, as well as advanced gallium nitride solid-state components. This results in an efficiency of 93.54% at 100% load.

Fanless operation and 10-year warranty

The ROG Thor power supplies are also designed for fanless operation at up to 50 percent load. When this threshold is exceeded, the 1600W, 1200W and 1000W models utilize a new 135mm fan with state-of-the-art axial technology design that circulates air through highly curved blades, a compact fan hub and an external lantern ring to provide whisper-quiet cooling at a set speed.

As a result, all power supplies in the new ROG Thor family achieve Lambda A++ certification – the most stringent standard for noise emissions defined by independent testing firm Cybenetics. 10-year warranty is offered, and they also feature a new 12-pin PCIe 5. 0 high-performance connector that ensures compatibility with future components.

The iconic ROG OLED power display returns on all models in the series, this time with an eye-catching mirrored edge. Addressable Aura RGB LED lighting also shines through the iconic ROG logo, and Aura Sync can seamlessly integrate this display with the rest of a system’s design.

ROG Strix XG309CM Gaming Monitor

For gamers looking for a large and high-quality widescreen monitor, ASUS introduces the ROG Strix XG309CM. The 29.5-inch monitor with a resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixels offers a GTG response time of 1 ms and a refresh rate of up to 200 Hz, supported by ASUS ELMB (Extreme Low Motion Blur) Sync. ELMB Sync enables the simultaneous use of ELMB and variable refresh rate technology for smooth and responsive gameplay.

In addition to DisplayHDR-400 certification, the ROG Strix XG309CM also offers a USB Type-C port that is ideal for connecting to a notebook as a secondary display. It also allows the monitor to act as a USB hub for keyboards, mice, and other peripherals. An integrated KVM switch is also available, allowing keyboards and mice to control two separate PCs connected to this monitor.

With an integrated stand on the display stand for mounting a webcam or microphone, users have a monitor that is suitable for both work and play.

ROG Strix XG276Q Gaming Monitor

The 27-inch 1080p ROG Strix XG276Q monitor in Space Grey is aimed at those for whom a Full HD image is enough. The Fast IPS model features a refresh rate of 165 Hz, a response time of 1 m GTG and is DisplayHDR 400 compliant.

Like the ROG Strix XG309CM, the ROG Strix XG276Q also features a stand on the monitor stand, which is ideal for attaching a webcam or microphone so gamers can create their own streaming setup.

ROG Delta S Animate Gaming Headset

New to this generation of ROG Delta S headsets are customizable AniMe matrix displays on the outside of each earcup. These feature small LEDs that can be programmed to create custom style with individual lighting designs, unique animations, and live audio visuals.

In addition, the distinctive Soundwave lighting effects can even flash to the sound of a person’s voice. The industry-leading ESS 9281 Quad DAC with MQA support and 50mm ASUS Essence drivers provide a premium audio experience, and the AI noise-canceling microphone enables crystal-clear in-game voice communication.

It also features a comfortable and lightweight design with ergonomic, fast-cooling D-shaped ear cushions for a perfect fit. And instead of a 3.5mm audio cable, the ROG Delta S Animate features USB-C and USB-A ports for compatibility with PCs, Macs, PlayStation consoles, Nintendo Switch, and various mobile devices.
