With the ROG Strix OLED XG27UQDMS, Asus is expanding its gaming portfolio with a monitor that combines high resolution, extreme refresh rates and modern OLED technology. The model was unveiled at the beginning of 2026 and is clearly aimed at performance-oriented gaming setups, but is also suitable for productive applications thanks to its high pixel density. Asus pays particular attention to the protection of the OLED panel and convenient operation, which makes the monitor interesting both technically and functionally.

The Asus ROG Strix OLED XG27UQDMS uses a 26.5-inch OLED panel with a native resolution of 3,840 × 2,160 pixels. This combination ensures a very high pixel density, which means that content is displayed particularly sharply. At the same time, the monitor supports a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz, which makes it interesting for both fast-paced shooters and competitive multiplayer titles. The gray-to-gray response time of 0.03 milliseconds specified by Asus corresponds to the typical advantage of OLED technology and enables an almost streak-free display even with fast camera pans.

The model is also positioned in the upper segment in terms of brightness. A peak brightness of up to 1,000 cd/m² is specified for HDR content, while the contrast ratio is put at 1,500,000:1. The HDR10 standard is supported, which ensures improved brightness and color differences. These key technical data make the monitor attractive not only for gaming, but also for media consumption and demanding image editing. The combination of high resolution, high frame rate and OLED-typical color reproduction clearly sets the ROG Strix XG27UQDMS apart from classic LCD gaming monitors.

Although the actual relevance of burn-in is assessed differently, Asus is showing a clear focus on long-term user safety here.

The manufacturer also goes one step further when it comes to operation. In addition to classic control elements, the monitor can be controlled via the DisplayWidget Center software, which enables settings to be made directly under Windows. The ROG Strix OLED XG27UQDMS is ergonomically flexible: Height adjustment, tilt, swivel and pivot mode are all available. In terms of connections, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and a USB-A hub are available, while USB-C is missing.
