ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 go on sale
ASUS announces that the next batch of high-performance gaming laptops will go on sale. With the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and ROG Zephyrus Duo 16, you can expect two high-quality laptops that want to impress with a strong performance.
The ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 in detail
Following the ROG Strix SCAR series and the Strix G18 and G16 models at the beginning of March, two more gaming laptops, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 and ROG Zephyrus Duo 16, are making their way to retailers.
The ROG Zephyrus M16 (GU604) combines mobility, versatility and gaming power and is, at its peak, equipped with a 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series laptop GPU with a maximum 145W TGP.
Another highlight marks the 2.5K ROG Nebula HDR display, which resolves in 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and gets up to 1,100 nits of brightness – all at a refresh rate of 240 Hz and latency of just 3 milliseconds.
With dedicated MUX switch, NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and G-SYNC support, games run at peak performance and without tearing. The ROG Intelligent Cooling Tri-Fan technology with a full-width heat sink keeps the laptop pleasantly cool even during demanding tasks.
We had the opportunity to put the ASUS ROG Zephyrus M16 through its paces in a test back in February, and we were absolutely thrilled: performance, display, cooling, and features are all on an absolute top level.
ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 comes with innovative second display
On the other hand, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX650) relies on AMD power for the CPU. It is equipped with a Ryzen R9-7945HX CPU of the latest generation as well as an up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090.
Up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and up to two 2 TB SSDs are available, while it’s 90 Wh battery should offer long runtimes. The ROG Intelligent Cooling System ensures low temperatures in the process thanks to a custom Vapor Chamber, unique Liquid Metal and AAS Plus 2.0 cooling.
A special feature of the Duo 16 is that in addition to the 16-inch display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels with 240 Hz and 3 ms response time, the notebook also offers another display.
The flip-out 14.1-inch secondary display with 4K resolution nearly doubles the notebook’s workspace and is said to offer a real advantage not only for gaming, but also for creative work or streaming. The new Corning Gorilla Glass DXC protects against scratches and the anti-fingerprint coating keeps the display clean. The coatings also ensure reduced surface reflection.
At the same time, a full six speakers with two force-cancelling woofers provide Dolby Atmos sound by creating a virtual 5.1.2 surround sound.
