The company Bapaco has presented an innovative device that combines a mechanical keyboard, a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a fully-fledged Windows PC in a compact housing. This all-in-one device is aimed at users who are looking for a space-saving and versatile solution for work and leisure.

Performance and functionality

Inside the Bapaco is an Intel Core i5-1235U processor. To make full use of the mini PC, users need to install an SSD, RAM and an operating system of their choice. The integrated 5,000 mAh battery enables up to six hours of video playback, meaning that the device can also be operated without a permanent power supply.

Keyboard and input options

The mechanical keyboard of the Bapaco has a QWERTY layout with linear switches that can be replaced if necessary. RGB lighting provides customizable lighting effects. The device also has a 3-watt speaker for audio output.

Price and availability

The Bapaco is currently being funded via a Kickstarter campaign. The barebone version, which comes without RAM and SSD, is available in the “Kickstarter Special” for HKD 5,000 (approx. EUR 615), plus shipping and import VAT. Delivery to backers is planned for May 2025. As usual with crowdfunding projects, there is a certain risk regarding the final product quality and delivery, especially as this is Bapaco’s first project.
