Robotics specialist Beatbot caused quite a stir at CES 2026 in Las Vegas: The company presented the AquaSense X ecosystem, an intelligent complete solution for automatic pool cleaning, for which it received the CES Innovation Award in the household appliances category. The system combines advanced AI technologies with a completely new maintenance concept, setting new standards in pool care.

Intelligent pool cleaning with Beatbot AI 2.0
At the heart of the new system is the Beatbot AquaSense X AI, an autonomous cleaning robot that relies on the enhanced Beatbot AI 2.0 platform and the new HybridSense™ AI Vision System. This doubles the number of types of waste detected from 20 to 40, while the detection range now extends from the pool floor to the water surface.
Thanks to the combination of camera, infrared and ultrasonic sensors, the robot detects even the smallest particles and automatically adjusts its cleaning strategy. Two additional ultrasonic sensors on the underside enable precise navigation over steps and flat zones. This means that the floor, walls, waterline and surface are cleaned in a single pass – efficiently and completely autonomously.

In addition to AI-supported analysis, the AquaSense X also offers voice control via common smart home assistants. Users can start the cleaning cycle, check the battery status or receive notifications about the completion of the cleaning run – all by voice command.
AstroRinse: Automatic maintenance via docking station
A central element of the ecosystem is the Beatbot AstroRinse station, the first fully automatic maintenance system for pool robots. After each cleaning run, the AquaSense X docks onto the station, whereupon a three-minute high-pressure rinsing cycle cleans the filter, empties the dirt container and recharges the device at the same time.
The waste is collected in a sealed 23-liter waste container, which allows up to two months of maintenance-free operation. This function eliminates one of the biggest annoyances for many users – manual cleaning of the filter – and ensures hygienic disposal without direct contact with dirt.
According to Beatbot CEO Siler Wang, this convenience was at the heart of the development: the device is designed to make “pool maintenance more thorough, smarter and completely effortless”. With this combination of functionality, automation and user-friendliness, Beatbot takes private pool maintenance to a new level.
Award at CES 2026 and vision for the future
The AquaSense X ecosystem won the 2026 CES Innovation Award for its combination of advanced sensor technology, sophisticated design and AI-powered self-management. The jury particularly praised the intuitive operation and the consistent implementation of sustainable maintenance solutions.
Beatbot also presented the further developed RoboTurtle – a research robot for open waters that displays natural swimming movements and records environmental data. This underlines the company’s vision of using aquatic robotics beyond the private pool to monitor ecosystems and water quality.
Conclusion
With the AquaSense X ecosystem, Beatbot is redefining pool maintenance: autonomous, adaptive and maintenance-free, the system sets new standards for smart home applications in outdoor areas. With its intelligent sensor technology, automatic self-cleaning and seamless integration into existing voice assistance systems, Beatbot delivers one of the most advanced household appliances of the year.
The Beatbot AquaSense X ecosystem will be available from January 5, 2026 at a price of 4,250 euros. An exclusive pre-order program with limited benefits is available to the first 200 buyers.
