beyerdynamic introduces 2nd generation Xelento wireless and Xelento remote

In 2017, the German manufacturer beyerdynamic released the Xelento wireless and Xelento remote, particularly high-quality in-ear headphones of the upper class, which also delighted audiophile users. Now we finally have the successors of the 2nd generation in the house. We have summarized all the info.

beyerdynamic Xelento wireless and Xelento remote (2nd generation)

The beyerdynamic Xelento wireless and Xelento remote (2nd generation) in-ear headphones are said to combine the manufacturer’s sonic expertise with the highest sonic standards and true craftsmanship.

Both models are handmade in Heilbronn, Germany, with the highest precision and quality standards, and aim to impress above all with their high-resolution sound. The headphones are driven by beyerdynamic’s own Tesla technology in its smallest design to date – the TESLA.11 driver ensures the highest level of detail, incomparable spatiality and depth in the sound.

So the driver comes in at 11mm and is said to be able to show even more fine detail, especially in the high frequencies, thanks to a special, newly developed acoustic filter. The in-ear headphones also want to score in the mids and bass range.

In addition, both models are certified Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless headphones, which means that they also offer the best audio resolution on mobile playback devices such as compatible smartphones.

The sound can be customized to your preferences via the “MIY App with MOSAYC – Attention to Detail with Mimi Sound Personalization”, as was recently the case with the excellent true-wireless in-ears beyerdynamic Free BYRD (our review). Over-the-air updates can easily keep the headphones up to date.

Elegant design with 24-karat gold

But it’s not just in terms of sound that you can expect an absolutely classy product. The design also has it in itself. For an outstanding sound experience, only gold-plated plugs and silver-plated cables are used.

In addition, both in-ear models rely on a shiny housing front with real gold – handmade from 24 carat gold and applied in a high-precision technical process.

Wearing comfort is also said to score points thanks to the ergonomic design. Seven pairs of specially developed silicone earpieces are included in the scope of delivery, allowing for the best individual fit. For high sound isolation, there is also a set of Comply Memory Foam earpieces in three sizes. In addition, the cable routing behind the ear ensures the best wearing experience.

Connection via 3.5 mm jack

The beyerdynamic Xelento wireless and Xelento remote (2nd generation) connect via a 3.5 mm jack cable complete with remote control and hands-free microphone, enabling calls, video conferencing and control with voice assistants even when on the move – at least if your smartphone has a corresponding port.

The Xelento remote also features a balanced 4.4 mm Pentaconn cable that allows it to connect directly to high-quality hi-fi components with balanced outputs.

The wireless model on the other hand features a high-quality Bluetooth 5.2 neckband that guarantees up to 14 hours of music enjoyment. In addition, there are high-resolution audio codecs such as LHDC, aptX HD and aptX Adaptive.
