Blackview BL8800 series launches with 50 percent discount

The Blackview BL8800 and Blackview BL8800 Pro outdoor smartphones were officially unveiled in March. Now, both models are launching with strong early bird discount of up to 50 percent on AliExpress.

The features of the Blackview BL8800 series

The features of the Blackview BL8800 Pro are particularly interesting. Unlike the standard model, the smartphone features a FLIR Lepton Thermal camera, which allows for exciting thermal imaging. The normal BL8800, on the other hand, has a night vision camera that is supposed to deliver night pictures with significantly more details.

In general, the manufacturer speaks of an image quality on iPhone 13 level. A 50-megapixel main camera is used on the rear, while the normal BL8800 also has an ultra-wide-angle lens with a field of view of 117 degrees. The front camera resolves with 16 megapixels.

But both models of the BL8800 series also have a lot to offer in other respects. They rely on a 6.58-inch display with a resolution of 2,408 x 1080 pixels. The MediaTek Dimensity 700 is used as the SoC, which brings 5G connectivity to an outdoor smartphone for the first time. It is supported by 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB UFS 2.1 system memory.

Strong protection, long runtime

Both smartphones are IP68 and IP69K certified and water-resistant. Thanks to MIL-STD-810H military standard, they should also be able to handle the most adverse conditions without any problems. 30 minutes of diving at a depth of 1.5 meters? Dropping from a 1.5 meter high hill? No problem for both outdoor smartphones.

In addition, there is a special glove mode, thanks to which both models of the Blackview BL8800 series can be operated without problems even when you wear gloves. There is also NFC, a fingerprint scanner, GPS, Glonass, Beidou and Galileo, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 5.1.

The battery capacity is also more than impressive. 8,380 mAh are on the books, and a maximum of 33 watts is charged quickly.

Thus, both smartphones are supposed to be fully charged again in about an hour and a half. Reverse charging is also offered, with which the BL8800 smartphones supply other devices with energy as a power bank. Android 11 is used as the operating system, which is covered with the manufacturer’s own Doke OS 3.0.
