How fast can a display be? Well, in the case of manufacturer BOE, the current answer is 600 Hz. After the 500 Hz gaming monitor at the beginning of the year, the manufacturer has now introduced a gaming notebook whose display turns out even brighter.
BOE gaming notebook with 600-Hz display
As IT Home reports, manufacturer BOE has shown numerous new innovations at the World Display Industry Conference 2022. In addition to a flexible OLED panel and a mini-LED TV with 1,500 nits of brightness, there was also a gaming notebook whose display has a refresh rate of 600 hertz.
This once again puts previous record holders like the Alienware m17 R5 and x17 R2 with 480 Hz in their place. However, not many details about the 16-inch notebook have been provided so far.
The picture at least shows an NVIDIA GeForce RTX sticker, which probably points to the RTX 4000 series. Apart from that, that is all the information we have. Such a fast panel should shorten the response time even more.
Alienware spoke of three milliseconds in the aforementioned notebooks, and the latency should drop even more noticeably at 600 Hz.
So, like the display in January, BOE’s notebook does not mark a real product announcement. However, it should provide an interesting preview of what we can expect in the coming year, or at least in the foreseeable future.
