Bose announces QuietComfort Earbuds and Sport Earbuds

For the two upcoming Bluetooth in-ears from Bose, a leak was once again responsible for the official announcement. The QuietComfort Earbuds with ANC and the Sport Earbuds will be available in October.

Customizable ANC

Bose’s QuietComfort Earbuds are genuine premium in-ears. Thanks to active noise suppression (ANC), they offer interference-free music enjoyment even in noisy environments. The special feature of the upcoming QuietComfort Earbuds is the adjustable strength of the noise suppression. You can choose between eleven different strengths. Thanks to the transparency mode, you can also amplify the ambient noise. This is particularly useful for important announcements in the train station or airport.

Bose has once again installed a great deal of technology for crystal-clear sound. However, this makes for a comparatively high weight.

Sound relies on neutrality

In-ears often come with an exaggerated bass, which fades out highs and mids completely. Bose wants to go a different way with the QuietComfort. However, in view of the high price, one can certainly expect this. The manufacturer promises a very neutral sound with its high-class in-ears. No frequency range should be artificially amplified in any way. To ensure that the media is also forwarded to the headphones in the appropriate quality, Bose uses Bluetooth 5.1 and the audio codecs AAC and SBC for the QuietComfort Earbuds.

Typical for Bose: The headphones are again conspicuously inconspicuous.

Practical fast charging function

According to the manufacturer, both in-ears can provide up to 6 hours of playback. As it is now common practice in the market, the two headphones are charged by means of a practical case. This offers another 12 hours of battery life. To fully charge the QuietComfort Earbuds, you have to leave them in the charging case for 2 hours. The case itself requires 3 hours charging time to regain full battery capacity. You can choose between a classic charging cable with USB-C connection or wireless charging according to the Qi standard. For the impatient, Bose offers a practical quick-charge function. Just 15 minutes charging time is enough to allow 2 hours of music playback.

The QuietComfort Earbuds are available in black and white.

Comparison high weight

For small in-ears, the new QuietComfort Earbuds are relatively heavy. A single headphone weighs 8.9 grams. This makes them almost 50% heavier than the average competitor. Let’s hope that the extra weight is due to the powerful drivers. When it comes to controls, Bose doesn’t rely on haptic buttons either. The QuietComfort Earbuds can be controlled by touch. So that you can enjoy music outdoors without worries even in adverse weather conditions, the in-ears are protected from sweat and rain in accordance with the IPX4 standard.

And for the sporty ones: Bose Sport Earbuds

Of course, manufacturer Bose has also thought of the joggers and other sportsmen within the clientele. With the Bose Sport Earbuds, the sports version of the new QuietComforts is coming onto the market. Although they do not offer ANC, they are slightly smaller and lighter. Thanks to the special StayHear-Max ear inserts, they also offer a very secure fit. Bose promises a maximum battery life of 5 hours for its Sport-In-Ears. A matching case is also included. This offers battery capacity for 10 more hours of music.

Apart from the missing ANCs and the weaker battery, the Sport version also has similarities to the classic Earbuds. The Sport Earbuds use Bluetooth 5.1 and AAC and offer reliable protection against sweat and rain according to IPX4 standard. The control system is also based on touch control. Last but not least the charging case of the Sport Earbuds offers the possibility of wireless charging.

Prices and availability

Both in-ears are scheduled for delivery from October 5. The “normal” QuietComfort Earbuds can already be pre-ordered from Bose at a price of 272.90 Euro. Here you can choose between the colors black and white. More choice is available at Bose Sport Earbuds. You can choose between black and white or blue. Like the QuietComfort Earbuds, Sport Earbuds can also be pre-ordered from Bose. Here the manufacturer is calling up a price of 194.91 Euro.
