Cambridge Audio is adding a new color variant to its Evo One premium audio system. Following its market launch at the end of 2024, the all-in-one system now comes in a subtle matt midnight black. The model combines extensive streaming functions, modern TV connectivity and powerful audio technology in a single housing. With its unobtrusive design and impressive sound features, the system is aimed at users who want to enjoy high-quality hi-fi sound without a traditional component landscape in the living room.

Cambridge Audio Evo One combines minimalist design with maximum flexibility
With the Evo One, Cambridge Audio is pursuing the goal of combining the functions of a complete hi-fi system in a compact system. The new version in midnight black underlines this approach with a particularly understated appearance. With a height of just 13 centimetres, the system integrates unobtrusively into modern living rooms and can be used both as a music center and as a TV sound system.
The 6.8-inch color display, which offers various display options, takes center stage. In addition to album covers and track information, VU meters, level meters or a classic clock display can also be shown. It can be operated flexibly via the StreamMagic app for Android and iOS, the supplied remote control or directly via the controls on the device.
The system is also versatile when it comes to sound adjustment. An integrated 7-band equalizer and functions for spatial equalization enable adaptation to the room acoustics and installation location. This allows the sound image to be individually optimized, regardless of whether the system is placed on a sideboard, shelf or TV cabinet.

Cambridge Audio Evo One focuses on streaming convenience and powerful surround sound
Technically, the new color variant remains identical to the already available Evo One in walnut look. The fourth generation of the StreamMagic platform supports numerous streaming services such as Spotify Connect, Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect, Deezer and Amazon Music. The system is also Roon Ready and offers access to Internet radio and UPnP sources in the home network. High-resolution audio files are processed at up to 32 bit and 192 kHz via WLAN or Ethernet.
Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Cast are available for additional flexibility. The system also supports multi-room environments based on Google Home, AirPlay and Roon. Those who want to use classic audio sources will find numerous connection options. In addition to HDMI eARC for televisions, there is an MM phono stage for turntables, an analog line input, an optical digital input and a USB-A connection.
The speaker concept is particularly noteworthy. A total of 14 transducers work together in a 3-way configuration. Four tweeters, four mid-range drivers and six woofers are designed to create a wide sound stage and significantly increase the typical sweet spot. The total output of 700 watts RMS promises an exceptionally powerful reproduction for all-in-one systems with deep, controlled bass and high dynamics.
